Visited here with my husband for Sunday lunch. Meal was fantastic and will definitely return again. Food was fresh, piping hot and plenty of it. Dessert of crumble and cream was beautiful. Staff were friendly and polite, quick to take orders and served quickly and efficiently 10 out of 10. Very clean dining area.

Came here for a Sunday lunch, which was one of the best pub Sunday lunches I've had. Food was delicious, well cooked and presented! Staff were pleasant and polite and we didn't have to wait too long for the food to arrive. I'd suggest booking as the place was full up.

I have supported this pub for many years. This Saturday 1/10/22 I visited at 1925 hr sat at an empty table asked for a menu and was told that the kitchen was closed even though meals were still being delivered to tables. The Web sight says kitchen open until 1945hrs.
At a time when pubs are struggling I find this amazing that customers are turned away because the chef can't be bothered. Needless to say the landlord Dave has lost two regulars forever.

Rather than visit one of the tired-looking eateries in Porthcawl, we decided to drive here and I'm very glad we did

Top tip. Book a table because this place gets popular. We hadn't booked in advance, but as we were early they managed to squeeze us into the first sitting

Nice traditional pub atmosphere and a good selection of home-brewed ciders if you're in to that sort of thing

Staff were very friendly and took food orders before they started serving at 5pm

When the food arrived I was impressed at how much there was, and even though the chips looked a little anaemic, they were lovely and hot and tasted great

I went for the small gammon and chips and my wife had the small fish and chips and after the meal our plates were empty and our bellies were full

Bill came to £32 for both meals and 4 drinks which is very reasonable

I read somewhere that it's supposed to be one of the most haunted pubs in Wales, and whilst we were there, we noticed the hand dryer in the gent's toilet kept mysteriously turning on and off

This continued for nearly 10 minutes and I'd just about plucked up enough courage to go and look, when a bloke emerged and told us he'd spilled his pint down his trousers

I ain't 'fraid of no ghosts!

Never heard of this place, found it on the off chance so booked a table. Very warm welcome, very efficient service, a lovely atmosphere in an olde worldly setting, a great menu with lots of classic meals on👌 (not many places serve the classic Pub grub meals anymore👎) the food was absolutely beautiful. Hunters chicken, mixed grill and 2 burgers, everything was cooked perfectly. This is now our new favourite place, we’ve also booked for Sunday lunch which we are very much looking forward to 😋. 5 ⭐️ from us, we look forward to coming back 😄

Fantastic pub, well worth the two hour trip. Generous portions, fantastic and accommodating friendly staff. Would definitely visit again if I'm in this part of the country.

This place is fantastic. The welcome, the food. Worth a visit. Their onion rings are the best.
