Location
The hospital is situated by Hampstead Heath in a nice part of town.

Services
All hospital services are provided here including Accident & Emergency.

Parking
There are lots of disabled parking spaces at the hospital but even these are not enough during peak periods Monday - Friday. There is also an ordinary car park which offers around 15 spaces and charges £3/hour. If you are traveling to the hospital alone, I strongly suggest using a minicab or public transport unless you can get someone to drop you off.

Cleanliness
Good cleanliness for an NHS hospital and staff are responsive to reports of situations where attention might be needed. Unfortunately the hospital is not enforcing mask wearing which I think is a risky move and some folks are wearing masks and some folks are not which puts vulnerable patients at risk - lose a star because of this.

Shops
There is a WH Smith onsite which has 3 self-service tills and a staff member present if needed. Additionally, there is an M&S Food outlet opposite and a small seating area.

Lifts
Lifts use a new "modern" system where you need to tap the floor you want to go to outside the lift in the lobby area and then the screen tells you which lift to take. E.g. to go to the 6th floor, you tap 6 and then the screen will say "Goto lift D" etc. Note that there are no numbers inside the lift so you cannot change floor when inside.

Nothing short of disgusting. If I could give no stars then I would! Entered via a filthy main entrance covered in grime and cigarette ends - is it too much to ask that a major Hospital in our capital city at least looks clean and welcoming upon arrival? Perhaps spend some of the funds that paid for the most confusing lift system ever on cleaning? Finally found my Father in Law as he had been moved but no one informed us and even better no one knew where he was. Eventually located where he was and was greeted by the most ignorant and uncaring sister that one could ever wish to meet. Luckily there was a really helpful nurse who did assist us. He was in a room with 3 others in a ward that was akin to a sauna with no ventilation and no fans etc. the bathroom was dirty and had old tissue and clothing on the floor. The toilet had not been flushed in awhile and we had to call staff to deal with a man in distress in the bed opposite. When they eventually responded to the buzzer they just pulled a sheet over him and left. My father in laws name was not even over his bed as the previous patient's name was still there so God forbid if anyone did not check before administering any drugs etc. All in all a terrible experience and needs a lot of care and attention. Managers here need to get their ***** in gear and sort it out.

God Bless all care workers in a very demanding job - it must be challenging maintaining a positive approach to your work.Great doctors nurses and all other staff have been brilliant with me for well over 20 years they have truly looked after me in so many ways unimaginably saved my life several times over aswell and I would say like another family to me in a way if I could but I wouldn't fault them in any way as its hard to find good bunch of people that look after us do well.
Keep up the good work, even when you feel the strain!God bless you all🙏🏻grateful forever🙏

First of all, I would like to thank all the staff, they showed a lot of professionalism, friendliness, an atmosphere that I can't forget. I had a very pleasant experience. I want to especially thank Natasha and Sara for all the professionalism and time dedicated to me, thanks to them I gave birth to a perfectly healthy baby girl and I felt so good and safe in their hands. Congratulations to all the hospital staff, you are doing an excellent job

In my opinion this is without doubt 1 of the best Hospitals in the UK.
I have just completed 8 week's of Radiotherapy. All the staff were Brilliant Professional kind and caring. They did a superb job I could not have asked for better.
They are a Credit to the NHS.
Five Stars All The Way.
Many Thanks.
Denis.

Waited for less than half an hour in children A&e was seen by the Dr , then in the xray the wait was a bit longer since there were lots of people before us.
In general the service has improved a lot since my last visit but the bleach smell is veryyyy strong in the children section which really gave me a headache

I was an inpatient here for seven days after having major surgery. I consider myself a very resilient person however my experience at this hospital has left me completely broken. As a patient, particularly when you're so vulnerable, you expect to be treated with kindness, dignity and respect which did not happen. Not only does nobody tell you what is being done to your body and why but consent is ignored. For example, I did not want to receive a bed bath because I was very tired and expressed this to the nurse. She ignored me and started aggressively undressing and washing me. I kept saying no and crying but she kept hurting me and holding me down. It was a humiliating experience. I will also never forget the night another patient was crying and howling in pain and the nurses at the station were laughing and making jokes about her instead of helping. When I raised concerns I was treated like a 'difficult' patient and not taken seriously.

On another occasion a doctor came in while I was still half asleep and and told me that I needed an intimate examination and swab and proceeded to lift the covers and examine me without explaining what it was for or obtaining consent. I still don't know why this was carried out or the result of the swabs that were taken.

Please avoid this hospital if you can as there seems to be zero accountability for abusive staff. How you are treated seems to depend on whether you're lucky enough to be placed on a ward with kind and caring staff and this simply isn't good enough.

Thank you to Sophie, Irish Mark,Phlipino Mark Zelia Michelle Abdi. Rita, Samira and tea lady from Portuguse
Dr kotecha, Priyinka, Chole, Mary the phelebotomosi, Dr Jeetley Ester the nurse

The cardiology West wing Royal free hospital was good.

Their kindness went a long way helping patients including me. Thanking the consultant who did the scan and tried his best to ensure I was okay. I was really anxious but my mind was put to rest with some reassuring explanation.

On the other hand i did not understand the pharmacist and found it challenging understand her. Also a couple of borderline issues cleanliness.

A very good team of people Thank you everyone here
