Odd to say that I liked a hospital but just to say that we had a good experience & great care today.
A friendly person greets you on arrival & gives easy to follow directions to the relevant ward / treatment area.
The receptionist was also very helpful.
I killed time having breakfast in their "Oasis" restaurant on the 2nd floor & later in their "Savour Cafe" on the ground floor, close to the main entrance. I only took photos of those 2 places.
All areas were very clean & most visitors wore masks in public areas.
NB if you have a Blue Badge you show this to any receptionist & they authorise all day free parking.
Also, if you need to catch a bus into town, these are only every 30 mins. Also, they don't offer return fares so you have to buy a £4.50 day rider ticket.

Its not often I give out reviews but honestly this one was important as I don’t think people realise that when the chips are down the NHS raises it head and takes full accountability.

Over the last few weeks, I have witnessed staff across the NHS being under tremendous pressure. I saw Staff working hard from minute to minute, hour by hour, to make sure that we as patients were looked after of which I am immensely grateful.

I think we have come to expect that the NHS staff will go the extra mile with no Gratitude however I would like to say to all the staff at the Royal Devon Exeter Hospital that you were amazing, the care was superb, Every member of staff in the Abbey and in the Otter ward I came into contact with were professional and helpful. Absolutely amazed at the level of care in this hospital. Highly skilled Surgeon and Clinician with Excellent communication skills, approachable, informative, and friendly. Well done Royal Devon and Exeter you are doing an amazing job and should have your names in lights. Gaynor

A and E triaged my husband quickly, made him comfortable and admitted him to Abbey Ward where he was stabilised and discharged the 2 days later. The staff were reassuring and exceptional from A and E to the ward.

I am a builder and fell off a ladder last Friday hitting the ground face and shoulder first. The paramedic, the Ambulance staff and
Everyone in the hospital who dealt with me were superb, CT scan,
X-rays, stitches, all done on a Friday night with care and efficiency. Less impressed with the behaviour of some of the patients but all NHS staff who looked after me were BRILLIANT. Many many thanks!

I would like to say a huge thank you to the staff of the A&E department. I was tripped up on Christmas Eve and smashed my face into the floor. Thank God a wonderful off duty paramedic Chris came to my assistance in the shop.
The staff in A&E were exceptionally efficient and caring. Every member of staff dealt with everyone with patient and curtesy. I am deeply grateful.

Thanks to the ambulance service (Maisie and her colleague, so sorry couldn't recall your name) that kindly took me to hospital after a fall from the loft. My experience was good, Thanks to Charlotte tge nurse who looked after me, Doctors Ross and Kevin who checked me out and gave me the best care, thanks to anyone I didn't mention, you all were wonderful (with the exception of a rather irritating porter who thought it appropriate to comment on the way my ambulance lady wheeled my trolley, rather too much to say for himself , not what you need when you are in a great deal of pain, pipe down and retrain if you think you can do everyone else's job better my dear! Thanks all, you are doing a grand job💙
