July 8th attended A&E around 09.30 am after a fall. Polite receptionist. Waited about 30 mins to see a nurse, then another 30 mins to see a Doctor. He sent me for X ray, 10 mins wait. Back to A&E for result, wait 15 mins then off to Orthopaedics, 30 min wait. Dr explained fracture and wanted more Films. Back to X-ray, no wait and brilliant radiographers and their student sorted out more films. Back to Orthopaedics, 5 mins wait and saw Dr and nurse, who explained treatment, sorted a brace / boot and suggested how I get followed up back at home. Very efficient and helpful staff, listened to me and were pleasant. Happy with my treatment. Thank you.

There is a bit of a wait, but my doctor Lottie was amazing. She spent time with me and explained what was wrong and took good care of me. She went through all the tests with me . All the nurses and doctors were very understanding and helpful from triage to X-ray. Thank you

I’ve recently moved into the Wrexham area and transferred my midwife care when I did. I had never visited the Maelor hospital before and so was apprehensive about giving birth there. I was a low risk pregnancy and therefore admitted to the Midwife Led Care unit. Upon admission I was assessed and then shown to a private room (Room 2). The room was wonderful, so lovely I cried with happiness. I had my own birth pool surrounded by fairy lights and led candles, a music system, and calming projections onto the ceiling. My birth experience was absolutely fabulous. The midwife who oversaw my delivery, Karen, was wonderful. A calming presence throughout my labour. Baby was born 11am on 16th October and we were discharged by 4pm as I had a straight forward delivery. I couldn’t fault a single aspect of my experience at the Blair Bell unit and would like to say a huge thank you to all involved. I am beyond grateful for having the birth experience I had always hoped for. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Have used the Maelor hospital several times over a few years for different reasons. I must say what a great service they have provided each time. The staff were friendly and efficient. Cannot fault them. I attended on Friday 14th October from reception to receiving treatment was excellent and all done within an hour. Thank you so much.

Always busy but staff are always friendly and polite, needs a better vending machine with sandwiches maybe and a bigger waiting room in a&e but I trust them here implicitly. Pity government cuts have caused such mayhem for all a&e departments as they have limited budgets and not enough staff

Once recover from this knee injury I’m considering putting myself in a bubble! Why to start off I went to A&E the morning after my injury and I would only go there if I really need to as I do put into consideration if I would waste their time or not…

Lucky me waiting times wasn’t as bad but I was seen to by a doctor who’s attitude was terrible! Saying he couldn’t find anything wrong with me considering my knee was swollen like a balloon and that I was in a wheelchair the whole time as I could not bare any weight on it, was sent to X-ray only to be told it came back normal and then to be asked if i was just telling myself I was injured… in the end I took some crutches and left since they weren’t going to do anything else to help me, but luckily my GP got back to me and referred me to a musculoskeletal and when I was there the lady had my X-ray and she found some abnormalities in my X-ray which the doctor in A&E didn’t notice so then I had to go to orthopaedics where my knee was examined but only to be sent for an URGENT MRI…

It’s been over a month since my MRI and have had no results, I’ve called almost everyday after those 7-10 days I was told only to get “we’ll call you once you get the results” I’m here still unable to walk and struggling with my everyday tasks wondering should I be taking up Physio??

So yeah maybe in a year or so probably when I recover wrap me up in cotton! Because I know if I ever get injured again I’ll reach old age by the time I get some treatment done!

Attended A&E this morning (22.1.23). Cannot fault the care I have received; professional, caring, efficient, and most importantly very thorough. My thanks to you Amy, and your nursing colleagues. I felt the need to post this, as there are many negative comments, and our wonderful NHS is not praised enough. KAF

Had my son delivered here on Christmas day! Everyone was so helpful. The teamwork for the delivery was brilliant!

The only downside was they were short staffed - really hope the Govt can sort this out and support the staff that do amazing work and show great mental resilience to go through this.
