Visited to buy Port glasses on this occasion but they are hard to stock. Really helpful staff who went beyond to help. I've bought cherry Potter, old fashioned can opener before and it's a gem of a shop. If you think they may not sell it, then you'll be surprised. Will return.

My pressure steamer failed. We have used it for decades. I wanted another one. I would have gone online to Amazon, but my sister suggested Wilcocks. This store is on Chapel Street, PR7 1BU. It's an old fashioned hardware store with an amazing range and amount of household equipment crammed within its walls. I bought a pressure cooker from a range of 4 but when I returned to home, I couldn't get the lock to unlock. So we returned to the store. They would have given my payment back. But I said if they could show me how to use it, I would keep the pan. I later discovered a way to fit the lid within a few seconds. It's good that the vendor could be helpful. Online can be cheaper. But the advice from staff is a good job too. The staff were pleasent and helpful.

Called in to get keys cut. Called me to point out that the key was chipped, which he couldn't do. Had one cut anyway as a back up to open doors. Very helpful

Apalling attitude from the owner, older chap, "were closed" ! at 9am This is in marked contrast to the Lady who serves, who is delightful; He is obviously unhappy in his work. I was ordered out of his shop. He obviously is so wealthy he doesn't need the business or repeat custom.

This place does everything, went in for a chopping board, which I got at a good price only to realise they also had the washing machine cleaner and command strips I was after! Very friendly service too.
