I popped in for a lightbulb and the lovely gentleman at the front desk asked if I have a dimmer switch, when I said no, he went and got me the cheaper bulb to save me a few quid. He also helped me with advice on how to ensure the lampshade doesn’t fall off. Really lovely to have advice like this in the community and to support local businesses. Great help and a great experience!

20 mins before closing I called. My electric wheelchair was out of batteries. I called to say I need a Germany to UK adaptor. Could you wait for me?

“I’ll speak to my manager, but he likes to shut at six.”

“OK.”

“No, sorry.”

I made it after a local pushed me with it in free wheel and got what I needed, hence not a 1 star review.

It’s a good shop other than not doing that little bit extra when circumstances are different.

Really helpful service and great advice.

You might be able to find it cheaper online, but the service, advice and convenience means I will definitely come back again.

I have been going to this shop for nearly a year and have found the staff to be very, very helpful and kind.

Always helpful and very courteous. None times out of ten they can help me with what I need or what I need to do.

This is a fab new independent hardware shop, stocking a good range of items. The two gents who were working there were helpful and patient, willing to give advice while still allowing us to take the lead on our own project. Will be returning through my ongoing redecoration project.

This new store isn't just hardware. There are essentials such as needles, pins and general haberdashery in addition to those DIY and builders' items that I expected. The guys who were here are super helpful so pop in... it's fantastic to have a really useful Belsize shop.
