Jayne and Rich are a delight to deal with, their products are high quality and nothing is too much trouble for them. Their attention to detail and speed of response are excellent, second to none. They sourced exactly what I wanted, even when one of the products I wanted wasn’t on their website. I have gone back to them regularly and will continue to do so for all my ironmongery needs. Would highly recommend them, they offer a fantastic service!

We've been renovating a victorian townhouse for the last two years and placed multiple orders with The Period Ironmonger along the way. Rich and Jayne have provided wonderful service every time; advising which finish would be best, keeping us up to date with our orders, and going the extra mile to nudge things along with their suppliers if we've needed items quickly. The products they provide is outstanding - there really is no comparison to what you might find at your local DIY depot - our carpenter has been very appreciative of the quality. Ideal for property developers too! We have developed 3 properties with the assistance of Jayne @ The period iron monger. From House signs, post boxes, Latches to handles to full kitchen ironware. Our requests are rarely simple, I have sent her photos of kitchens and she has advised on the best handles styles and sizes. Her help has been invaluable.

Operating in difficult times, and with supplies of materials severely disrupted, Rich at The Period Ironmonger has bent over backwards to supply my order. Keeping in touch regularly, Rich offered alternative solutions, before securing exactly what I needed. This is the second time I have used The Period Ironmonger, and I can attest to the exceptionally high quality and authenticity of their products. The ebony bun on brass rose door knobs I purchased to replace modern handles fitted to some of my doors, were identical replicas of those fitted 140 years ago. I cant give TPI (and Rich) any higher reccomendation.

Excellent service! I ordered a 5 lever mortice lock and chose the heavy spring option for unsprung handles and knobs. Unfortunately the spring proved too strong so Jayne offered to swap the spring for the normal strength and also to convert the movement to both clockwise and anti-clockwise operation for the knob. I sent the lock back to Jayne and two days later it arrived back all converted and working well. The product is also excellent - made in England, good price, and not a not-so-cheap cheapo import like others I found on the web. We have an old cottage so The Period Ironmonger will now be our go-to place for quality fittings.

I cannot praise Jayne and The Period Ironmonger highly enough. I called hoping to find a product in a particular style and finish for pulling open heave fridge and freezer doors after hours of searching and little understanding of what I needed but just a particular look in mind. Jayne recommended items, sent me samples to send back, finished them how I wanted at a very reasonable cost and supplied lots more of my kitchen hardware as a result. Very helpful, transparent service from the company and Rich. Very welcoming of the custom which will see me ordèring ALL my future door furniture from them - (once I have saved up the pennies to do every room). Delivery was organised very promptly once the items were in stock. I highly recommend.
