Liked: A lovely site in a great location. We had the freedom to pitch our tent where we liked and there was good access to water, toilet/washing facilities and a regularly emptied waste collection point.

There was also a nice children's play area and a football pitch.

While there was a slight sniff of cannabis, the other campers were very nice and respectful and there wasn't much noise after midnight.

No wifi that i was aware of but we had our own

Liked: We arrived out of hours. The chap who answered the phone was really pleasant and helpful. We didn't speak to anyone from the park after that, simply drive through the barrier and onto the camping field. It's large and we parked where we liked. I liked that we were left alone. The little park area was brilliant for the kids. The camping field is so large that we just loved it.

Disliked: It is clearly a residential park full of permanently sited tourers. If I had a caravan, I wouldn't be choosing this site as your view might consist entirely of other caravans.

The toilet block could do with a refresh but it was clean and everything worked. Plenty of hot water and liquid soap. Lots of space for dishwashing too.

Disliked: We stayed here last year and had a pleasant stay so picked it again with family for my daughters birthday weekend.
However other than having a great time with family and going to Southport this site was a big letdown! The toilet/shower blocks were so dirty and only cleaned once, the washing up facilities were the same. We also had our food stolen from the fridge, which was bagged and named, this isnt the sites fault but some people have no morals!!
The website says no pup tents or gazebos, most pitches had them up, we followed the rules, so for non electric £25 a day is pricey when the facilities arent clean. People were allowed to make noise until all hours, lots of kids congregated near the toilet blocks and some were walking round the site selling sweets and poppets 😞

Liked: On arrival looked a lovely campsite. Lovely caravan pitches. Large field for tent. Small play area for children. Football pitch.

Disliked: Toilets/shower block need updating. Very old and run down.
Male toilets not clean.
Clean the toilets on the weekend at 10-11 just when everyone needs the toilet and unable to use.
Can be quite loud at night

Liked: I liked the friendly staff and cleanliness of the campsite. The showers were great with lots of hot water. The other two families that I came away with had been to this site before and I am certain that I will return too. Many thanks

Disliked: I disliked nothing.

Liked: pretty much everything, first time myself and my husband visited Royal Umpire in our motorhome. cant fault anything. toilets were lovely and clean, a bit dated but not dirty or smelly cleaned daily. Elson point clean and well maintained, had red some reviews that were a worry before we arrived but everything was lovely no problems. site was lovely and clean and well maintained just a lovely place to visit. will defiantly be coming back. Had a lovely lunch at the Leyland garden centre next door to camp site. Thank you Royal Umpire for a lovely relaxing weekend.

Disliked: Communal bins were a bit far and WIFI would have been handy. but that's it really.

Liked: Giant chess board, play area, football pitch and local walks. Camp was nice clean and tidy.
Helpful friendly staff.

Disliked: The washrooms were clean but felt alittle outdated and could use an update. However saying the showers were warm and had good power to them.

Liked: Lovely little site, kids loved the park and seeing the horses also was lovely to see cockrels, hens and pheasants roaming freely around the site!!

Us adults enjoyed a few competive games of draughts on the big draughts and chess boards they have.

Toilet and shower blocks were clean and tidy can't say what showers were like as used our own.

Reception staff were lovely and friendly got a very warm and inviting welcome when we arrived!! Great site and would definitely return.

Disliked: Our only downfall with the site was the only rubbish bins were right next to the entrance/exit would be easier if there were a couple near the bottom too.
