Great natural park on the banks of the river Wyre at Stanah , Thornton Cleveleys . Shaded pathways , open grassed areas , well designed children's play . Picnic tables...also cafe on site . Free carpark Family activities and guided walks . Disabled W C .

This is my morning walk nearly every day such a beautiful part of the world. So sad [therefore] that the part which has most to offer in the way of wildlife, is also the most difficult part to walk. The dyke from The Heads to Knott End that runs alongside Barnaby Sands is such a hard slog! It's always uneven and often uncut but it is currently so boggy that you have to keen your eyes down all the time to watch your footing! A boardwalk would be the perfect solution. The one through Home Wood, at the foot of the Bowland fells is ideal.

Very remote! Nice views and seemed peaceful when there.
Nothing to do without a car, but local town is only 5 miles away so if your looking for quiet isolation then this will be what it is. Homes are well furnished

Just been for a walk as I’m a keen walker. Wow, what a lovely place, Wyre Country Park. The views are stunning, the landscape is beautiful, what a place to be. If only I was over 50!
