Lakesway Holiday Home & Lodge Park

The park cannot cope with the amount of people. Constant power cuts, water pressure issues as the park infrastructure cannot cope to the point where the showers don’t work. No WiFi in lodges and In most cases not available in Wainwright’s bar, again it depends on the number of people who are using it. (So I was told) Lack of signs and lighting around the park. Dogs being allowed to run off the lead. No restrictions in the play area so the noise can go on until late into the evening. The bar prices are very expensive and food is average. On the positive side the bar staff are so lovely and friendly and cant do enough for you! Potential buyers and renters beware there is a long way to go before this park is up to the standards of the money it commands.

I have been an owner here for 6 years. The first 5 were fantastic but I cannot say that since Leisure Resorts took over. The site now focuses on rentals with no regard or respect for owners. We have had to put up with partying in the hot tubs until 3:30am. We now have a 19% site fee increase to pay to develop the site for even more rentals. Previously I would have rated this 5 stars. How sad when money takes over common sense.

Lakesway holiday Park is more than 5 star it’s 10!
It’s an amazing, well kept park with a relaxing atomosphere, it has a beautiful new restaurant which sevrves very good food & drinks for all.
It’s pet friendly, child friendly everyone friendly!
We stayed here over the weekend and couldn’t fault our lodge. It was more than big enough, with plenty of space, very well kept, 100% clean and even came with milk, homemade bread and tea & coffee supplies !

We also got bath robes and very nice soft towels, with shower gel & slippers!
The view from our lodge very nice ... and we didn’t hear a thing all night, a lovely nights sleep in a very comfy bed with very good quality bed sheets etc.

Our lodge came equipped with everything you would need to cook, all very good quality and basically new. If we had stayed here in winter that wouldn’t have been a problem as it had a beautiful fire and heating throughout...
all in all this lodge park is beautiful, is 5 star and is worth every penny.

Absolutely lovely park very peaceful. And relaxing! We stayed in a new for 2018 Lodge with a hot tub and as it said was very private!! The fresh bread, milk etc was a lovely touch and the staff were lovely! The new restaurant on site was very good although I do think it should be open for lunch/breakfast all week and not just weekends!! Would definatley recommend a visit to this gorgeous place!

This is my first time here with my teenage children and they love it! Will definitely be booking again before we leave.
Lodge was beautiful. Clean, beds are so comfortable and the hot tub is just an added bonus.
Plenty attractions near by and I thought my children would be bored, but ! NO they're loving it.
Lodge has wifi microwave dishwasher washing machine TV's in bedrooms.
The scenery is lovely and loads of walks to do.
I must say we've eaten out a few times and haven't had a bad meal yet.
I think some of the reviews on the lakesway are very unfair to say the least.
Disgruntled owners should buy where there's only owners areas. That way they wont be disturbed by children. Just remember you used to be one and what did you play with ? Skip and girth ? Which is alot louder than a football.

This site is remarkable. I used to have a caravan here a few years ago with former owners and it was always very peaceful and jolly. During a recent visit, the redevelopment of the area is immense with much more modern, homely-like lodges which include a stunning view of the surrounding landscape, as well as larger, staggering holiday homes, all plenty for sale here. Their playpark has undergone excellent regeneration as well as the maintenance of the same warm, friendly and idyllic feel this site has always had. Lots of happy dog walkers here and cozy zen-like water features dotted around the site. It now features a nice looking restaurant/bar which was previously missing, I think the owners have done a great job on this park and will continue to run it to a good degree of standard in the near future. Well done!

Great staff.very smart and well maintained park.not cheap but you get what you pay for.

After having, yet again, another beautiful meal, it is only fair to make the effort to comment . The staff are very attentive and pleasant . My aunt and uncle joined myself and mum. They travel over for a good Sunday dinner as other places don’t come upto scratch as your roast dinners. So Thankyou to the staff and to the chef , who you don’t get to see to praise x
