Liked: We have been here quite a few times recently as we live about 4 miles away in the nearest town. It is peaceful here - the pitches are not crammed in. There is a lot of space for children to run around and play without disturbing anyone. There are plenty of places to dog walk too. The site is run by lovely
Owners who are so friendly.
It is located in Doddington where there is a lovely pub called The Chequers, which is about a ten minute walk. For groceries and take aways, Teynham is a ten minute drive away (coop, Londis, two Chinese takeaways).

The toilets are clean and the showers are good too. There is also a washing up area whxihsvi helpful.

Not far to Leeds Castle, the coast, Canterbury and London.

I can’t recommend this place highly enough. It is our favourite place to go because of the space.

Disliked: It’s all good. Nothing to dislike.

Liked: Feels like a bit of a hidden gem. Down quiet back roads (be prepared for some challenging encounters in a van/motorhome) and away from big places so dark skies for seeing the stars at night. Facilities are very clean and much better than I would expect for a site without ehu. Good local knowledge from owner. Very glad I took their suggestion for food. Good fire safety as well. Not seen many campsites provide buckets of water for fires. Couldn't have a fire at the time because of the drought (more fore safety) but good to see anyway.

Disliked: Only 2 minor points.

When checking in there was no answer at the office. Another couple arrived while I was waiting and another guest arrived (after dark tbf) to the same issue. Could maybe just do with a sign to say "back in 10" with a number to call if waiting a while. Mobile number provided by pitchup.com worked fine for me though.

Other issue is the hooks in the showers are rounded so it's quite easy for towels to drop off. Could do with full hooks instead but probably also worth me adding a hoop to my towel. I expect it's a problem quite a few sites have.

Liked: - The owners were very helpful and hard working, we often saw them cleaning the toilets late at night
- Roomy flat pitches and well spaced out
- Large clean showers with lots of hot water
- Clean toilets
- Very kid friendly
- Parking next to pitch
- Lovely local pub with good food in walking distance

Disliked: - The roads surrounding the site is not for the faint hearted but if you're used to driving down tight country lanes then you'll be just fine. If not, I don't recommend you try and hit the 60mph speed limit

Liked: *The showers - warm and plenty for the number of campers this weekend (probably 50% full)
*Hot water for washing up! The sink area was lovely and clean.
*Toilets and sinks for brushing teeth etc separate - there's something odd about brushing your teeth in a tiny loo.
*friendly welcome
*Great size pitch
*Car parking next to pitch

Disliked: Nothing : )

We booked to stayed here for the night as we had a wedding booked at Great Higham Barn. The owner was so helpful and welcoming, it was a 20 min walk to the wedding and it was starting to rain and we didn't have coats, they kindly offered us a lift. The rooms were very clean with bedding and towels provided and there was cereals and milk in the fridge for breakfast. Highly recommended.

Stayed 2nights bell tent. Lovely tent with matress and picnic bench. You can rent cook ware and gas stove for cheap price. Hot Showers and toilets clean and well maintined. Careful not to park infront of office( rocks in situ) were you will be asked to report prior to getting into campsite. We were informed after booking no campfires will be allowed ( due to extreme hot weather condition) lucky to experienced campfire for one night but gutted not allowed on second night. Overall excellent camping place but not having allowed camp fire was a let down. Check before booking.

We really enjoyed our stay here. A no frills friendly campsite. Graham was helpful and friendly and didn't judge my dogs when the barked at him at first! (thank you Graham).
Facilities were clean. Shower had good pressure and lovely hot water.
The site is in a good area for visiting tourist attractions etc, and not far from retail parks if you want to shop or get a take away.
We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Graham and Liz.
