outside of building looks like a 4 star hotel especially with the views by the lake. unfortunately the beds in the twin rooms are not so good. need better beds for the quality of the hotel it claims to be. breakfast is great and the staff are very helpful and friendly. plus the air con during hot season is not very good.

We held our wedding and reception here on Saturday Mark and the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to ensure that everything was perfect for our big day. As we were working out the details the staff moved some of the rooms around with extra beds so that families could all stay together in the rooms. The weather stayed perfect for an outside wedding with loverly grounds for fantastic photos, the main stairs in the building are great for photos as well. The Leicestershire room that they have worked very well for the wedding breakfast and then opening it up more for the evening was fantastic. At the end of the night there was no rushing to get us out of the room and the staff remained friendly and chatty. The food that was served as part of the wedding breakfast was fantastic especially the duck, the bridal suite that we had for the night was massive with two rooms and a comfy big bed. To finish off our wedding was a full English the following morning. A massive thank you to all of the staff that have been involved in our day and Mark for putting up with all of the questions and requests and ensuring the day was perfect.

Very poor service. When I walked in there was a lady behind reception having a go at another member of staff. Generally the staff seemed disinterested and not wanting to be there. You have to order cooked breakfast with the staff but good luck trying to find anyone. The room was clean enough, a bit outdated.

Service was so slow and fairly standard. Roasted turned potatoes were actually burnt. Sweet was poorly presented it was somewhere between pavlova and Eton mess but was neither. As it was a wedding did not want to embarrass anyone but in normal circumstances both courses would have been sent back.

Lovely building and staff were very friendly but rooms were in need of renovating. Heating not working and some mold in bathroom. The cooked breakfast very disappointing. Looked like it had been cooked well but we ate just after 9am and everything was cold. Expected better for price paid.

The rooms were cold as was the whole hotel.
The shower head was so filthy the water soaked the bathroom floor.
The hotel is very dated.
The breakfast was cold had to get it microwaved.
Ordered a sandwich which cost £7 each was 2 slices of bread each with ham salad and a couple of crisps.
Would not stay again

My Wife and me attended a wedding at this venue.
So knowing the drinks would be flowing we desided to book a room and breakfast.
WHAT A MISTAKE THIS WAS.........
The room;
Quite a lot of mold on the shower curtain,
Large clump of hair in the bath plug hole,
TV did not work;
The room was cold,
The passageway to the room;
Full of chairs that the cleaners used to put their cleaning things on along with used bedding and towels.
THE BREAKFAST.........
No cutlery
not enough seating
food not restocked,
I asked for some bread for toast, to be told it was defrosting?????????
water for tea/coffe, lukewarm.
as you can guess, I did not eat anything.
I wish I had taken some Photos to go along with this, but just wanted to get home to have a breakfast
