The Higher Trapp Hotel

I got married here, was the best day ever. The staff were amazing and the food was delicious. Couldn't have asked for a better venue. Drinks were reasonably priced and were a very relaxed environment. The area is beautiful and secluded. 100% recommend this place to anyone.

I booked the Higher Trapp Hotel for our 17th Wedding Anniversary. When we arrived we were greeted by Alice on the reception. Alice was efficient and extremely welcoming. She arranged for our afternoon tea to be served in the restaurant and took our order for drinks and made sure we knew the details of the offer we had purchased, which was afternoon tea for 2, 3 course meal in the evening, drinks from 6.0 until 11:00 pm, overnight stay and breakfast in the morning. The offer was excellent and would have cost us a lot more than we paid. The room was nice,clean and the bed was comfortable We stayed in a room a short walk away from the main Hotel via the garden or round the front. The only issue for me was that the soap dispenser in the shower was far too high for me to reach, my husband who is 6,2 also had a slight struggle with it. We would both highly recommend the Lavender Hotels offer and we will be booking another one of their hotels soon but this time will purchase the offer that does not include afternoon tea. 😀 ☺️☺️

Stayed with 2 other couples for over night stay.Staff were very friendly and efficient.Rooms although a little dated clean and comfortable.
There was a wedding taking place when we were there but we wasnt disturbed by any noise.
Food was lovely,hot and fresh.
We went all inclusive-fantastic deal and well worth it

We stayed here last Saturday night. We were able to pay for an early check in which was great and the main reason we choose thus hotel. We drove down from Edinburgh for a family wedding ( took place at another venue) and when we arrived the woman on reception was very polite and professional. The room we stayed it was called 'the girlie room' it was a great size, king bed, sofa bed that could easily sleep two kids and a single bed, iron and iron boad, mini fridge, TV, DVDs. Bathroom was lovely too. We had a great night sleep and can't wait to come back one day.

What a lovely hotel. Staff were so nice. Check in was a breeze. Room was lovely ( room 10). Evening meal was very nice. Breakfast was very good but was a cut down version due to the hotel not having many guests but everything you could wish for was available.
Bar area was very nice and a joy to relax in. Personally I think if you had good weather this place would be incredible it is only let down by the fact there us nothing on site. But we would book again in a heartbeat.

Just got home from a one night stay all inclusive stay.
It was amazing from start to finish.
The food was absolutely delicious.
The staff went above and beyond.
I'd give it five stars, the only thing that let it down was peeling wallpaper in the room. ( Room 3).
I'd definitely return and recommend.

Fabulous. I am writing this even before we go for dinner. Room brilliant (room 10). Views are amazing. Staff are amazing. What more could you ask for. We will be back to this wonderful hotel. This will be wonderful in summer. Bit bleak today with the rain and cold.

Beautiful hotel.. we had the All inclusive deal. Evening meal was amazing.. all inclusive drinks menu was great with named brands spirits and wines . Breakfast was buffet continental and cooked breakfast made to order . Staff were polite and very efficient. The hotel wasn't overly busy we didn't need to queue for our drinks or wait too long for food . Tea and coffee facilities in the room which was nice and clean and comfortable.. all in all an amazing stay.
The all inclusive deal is well worth the money... check in was fast and express checkout was a welcome bonus .
