The Coniston Hotel Country Estate & Spa

Hotel is located in a beautiful area with hills and a lake. The spa and pool are within walking distance of the hotel but have to be booked and paid for separately.. The food is good but we waited over an hour between starters and main course which was definitely not what you would expect at an upmarket hotel where the food and drink are expensive. The management were apologetic and did reduce the bill to compensate. Overall the staff were friendly, the standard rooms clean and a similar size to the Premier Inn but with nice views.

By far my favourite hotel in Yorkshire Dales.This hotel and has so much to offer, and the amenities are fantastic!
For me the location works just fab, and the setting in which the hotel sits is so beautiful!

I have stayed in this hotel each time I have visited the dales and will continue to do so, the deluxe suite is the room of my choice as it has all I need! I

have experienced the many activities on the estate. The shooting and archery experiences are really good, and the Spa is truly amazing!

I have found the food options great, without having to worry about breakfast or dinner.

What makes this place extra special is the staff, so helpul, polite and always willing to go that extra mile!

Great location, outstanding scenery. 5 star without a shadow of doubt.
We arrived for lunch not knowing what to expect.
The View restaurant wasn't disappointing. What it overlooked was wonderful and the service with food matched.
We then went for a gentle stroll around the lake mixing with the ducks, pheasants, swan and sheep.
Back in time for our booked Spa experience, which was amazing.
Again the views were stunning, as we moved from the outside jacuzzis, to steam room, sauna and swimming pool.
The evening meal just added to our great day.
The following day we had breakfast again from the View restaurant. We had planned to leave and go for a walk.
However with the sun and the views it put pay to that idea. We sat there until mid afternoon thoroughly enjoying the whole experience.

Well worth a visit.

We booked a meal at Blossoms, the 'afternoon tea' , which was a really nice sounding Asian mix, when we arrived we were told the menu was changed two days before and even though the hotel emailed to ask us to confirm the booking they never mentioned the change. We has to cancel the tea and have the main menu, which was nice but not the same and very expensive. Needless to say we won't be back after such disappointing service.

I didn't stay in the hotel - I just came for a spa day, and I loved every minute of it! I had a back massage, followed by a delicious lunch (the best afternoon tea I've ever had - Japanese style) and time in spa. My favourite was sitting in a jacuzzi outside and looking at the fire.

Went for afternoon tea which was excellent. Good location, service and ambiance. Only criticism would be, it was 2 teas as a gift and you can't split them (as Betty's). We got over that by buying another and taking our daughter and Gdaughter. Will be back.

We recently stayed the weekend at the hotel and what a beautiful place it is.
The hotel and facilities are fantastic, along with the food and selection of drinks. The spa is possibly one of the best I have visited, however what stood out above all else was the staff. Friendly, polite and welcoming, from our arrival with Melanie at the front desk, to the girls providing treatments in the spa, the young lad providing drinks to us at the outside hot tubs and the staff behind the bar in the evenings, we felt relaxed from the moment we stepped through the doors. I would highly recommend, and we will definitely visit again.

Beautiful hotel and spa. This was our second time staying here after coming for a wedding last August (which was gorgeous) and we would definitely come back again. Lovely rooms, delicious breakfast and amazing spa, a real treat!
