Fishermans Cot Tiverton by Marston's Inns

We visited on the off chance that we might get a table for the 4 of us - we were initially just popping in for a drink in the beautiful gardens - but we were lucky enough to be given a table within 5 minutes. Our server Elle was so lovely, very friendly and helpful, kept checking on us to see how everything was... had a good laugh over a few things with her.. she was just very bubbly, and genuinely looked like she enjoyed her job - makes a change in this day and age!! Food was fab as always - have eaten here before, and have 2 more bookings already made - 1 in July for my sons Birthday, and one in September for mine and my partners Anniversary... love this place, it's clean, the staff are always lovely, and the food is great. Looking forward to returning in July and September.

Great lunchtime snack on the Friday, very tasty and good value. Called again on the Sunday but extremely busy with Sunday lunches so did not stop.
Lovely location and generally very nice inside and in the garden.
Just a note on the outside of the building and car park felt it could do with a bit of tlc to make the place tidier and more welcoming.
This was our honeymoon hotel some 43 years ago ! So pleased to see it still open and prospering.

Generally very friendly, lovely setting. Lovely choices on the menu. We opted for the Goats cheese lasagne, which was amazing, we didn't want it to end. We normally have a meat dish but it made a nice change, especially on a summers evening sat near the river. The only minor, I mean minor draw back we couldn't have the antipasti starter as they had run out, we opted for the nachos & they were good, why I said minor.
Definitely will be returning, for both setting & fine food.

Me and my family came here yesterday and it was fantastic! We were greeted by such friendly people who were very welcoming of us and the dog too. The food was lovely and there was such a great atmosphere and a great view. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a nice place to go too.

Marston's should be really proud of this venue. From check in, the staff are nothing short of lovely. So friendly, pleasant but professional. The food is served quickly but very fresh and hot. The room is clean and comfortable and feels like an independent hotel. In particular, the waitress, Lisa is just a delight. Just the perfect member of staff. Great personality, and attentive but friendly. I have really enjoyed my stay. It's great to see a venue this busy during the current climate for the hospitality industry and I'm sure this is very much due to the quality, service and staff at the Fishermans Cot. I will definitely return.

Beautiful setting, right on the old bridge over the wildly gushing river - complete with resident heron, the staff have named him Harry! Our room was in the “lodge” very spacious, warm and welcoming. Lovely hot shower, nice deep bath, large comfy bed… we ate in the restaurant both evenings and the food was absolutely delicious, service excellent, as was the breakfast on both mornings. Staff very lovely, and an issue was swiftly resolved. This was our second stay and we would definitely return again

Booked by my wife as a surprise birthday present. Beautiful setting along side the river Exe. Our room was clean and comfortable, complete with tea and coffee. The restaurant was also spotless. The menu was varied, with our food arriving promptly and well presented. The staff were most helpful and nothing was to much trouble for them.
Simply put....would I go back? YES

I highly recommend the pies! The vegetarian starters were also delicious, but when the pies arrived, we realized that we had over ordered. Portions are very generous. Service was attentive. The view is simply stunning. We will keep coming back whenever we are in the area.
