Great find in Gosforth Natalie & her team are very friendly and welcoming. Homecooked chips, pizzas & chicken kebab all very tasty & great portions. Lively comfortable pub well worth a visit. Really good choice of beer from Cumbrian ales & any other drink!

Very sizeable portions, quite good too. Unfortunately a deafening karaoke commenced at 9pm although I appreciate most people aren't having dinner at this time. Also the decor looks bizarre, highly recommend changing it but overall nice

What a little gem this place is. Good selection of beers etc. Food is outstanding. Staff are a credit to the place. We will certainly be back again. Thanks.

Very friendly and helpful. We had moved after checking in and straight out at a nearby hotel and were accommodated even though it was almost full. .Extended our stay by one night because we liked it so much. Food and drink were excellent in terms of both quality and price. Can recommend highly. Rooms are spotless and an unusual bonus allows phone calls to numbers including standard mobiles. One of many nice touches.

This place seems to have good ratings, But I have to review it how I experienced it. I went here for something to eat with my son on a Saturday evening. I walked to the bar and was ignored for about 1 minute, even though no one else was ordering. The lady behind the bar eventually looked at me and mumbled something, I said " do you have a table for 2 available please" she said "have you booked" I said no, (I wouldn't have asked if I had booked) we were taken into the back of the pub with americanised style booths with TV screens all over the place with one that nearly covered the whole wall, we sat there for around 10 minutes, we were ignored, no one told us if it was table service or if we had to go to the bar, no menus were given. Although they seemed to be giving them to some others. So we got up and left to go to the Italian up the road, which was much more hospitable..I could have understood more if they were busy, but they weren't.

You'd think with how people are struggling, they'd be making everyone feel welcome..

Large group of bikers turned up (12) all served with drinks and fantastic food by a very professional barman. Food was outstanding and well presented. Will be back.

Ideal for Sellafield contractors but accommodation very small for 60-year old holiday visitors and bar suitable for younger clientele. But staff lovely, especially Kasha and young man who travels to work on a scooter from Egremont.
