The service here has been particularly exceptional which I wasn’t expecting at all. There was a small problem on check in which really frustrated me at the time, however the General Manager Will who not only put everything right but offered to compliment my second night. Normally when things go wrong I just expect a couple of points to be added but to actually go to this length was exceptional. I’ve stayed at 5 star £500 a night Intercontinentals from Greenwich to Tokyo and I’ve never experienced service as good as this. I have a 9 month project out of Elstree starting next month and this will definitely be my hotel of choice now as a result. The rooms are perfect and to the standard you would expect of a brand new IHG hotel.

I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in St Albans 4 times now. Admittedly my first experience was not the best due to the service, however things have definitely changed and I've gotten to know the members of staff by name. They offer a nice, full breakfast, comfy beds, and convenient location! There's some small maintenance issues that I believe need to be addressed, but it did not affect my enjoyment of my room! I can't wait to come back in a few months and spend a few more nights there!

Arrived a bit earlier and I wasn't allowed to park up before my check in - not happy at all, especially that the parking was 60% full only. WiFi not connectable in the room, visible, but the login page wan't load. Tried both networks. OK in the. main hall, though. The room was OK, very clean. Bathroom with large shower. Biggest disappointment was breakfast. Poor choice, worst scrambled eggs ever.

Out fro London area, the place is tiny but cosy.
Small parking but quite.
Staff is friendly and professional.
The room has everything and honestly, that is quite posh as well.
No noise around even if yiu are close to a motorway.
Breakfast has everything from continental to British.
All structure is more than clean!!!
Probably more indication need to be added in the area, in the middle of the night it's quite complicated to move in the shopping park.

Very happy customer, been here for 9 weeks and couldn’t pick a fault if I tried… service has been A** from day one! And the team of staff are second to none always welcomed with a smile and a friendly conversation… wish I could name them all but what I can remember especially is… lol but Emma, Jessica and Peter, they are a credit to the company as well as the rest which I can’t remember. I will definitely be using this hotel again 👌.

We used this hotel as a base for 4 nights with its easy access to the motorway and into St Albans for the train. Excellent service from friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast on offer was good, parking is free and only a 3 minute walk to M&S Food Store for a snack.

Excellent hotel. It's been nearly a year since I've used Holiday Inn after a poor experience in one, but thought I'd give them another go, and I'm glad I did. Comfortable, clean room, friendly staff, decent breakfast and a decent selection of beer on tap. Will definitely use this one when in the area again, and will very probably use other Holiday Inns again based on this trip

Brilliant location literally a couple minutes from the M25. Lovely modern and spacious hotel. You had to get a ticket from the barrier when arriving to be let into the car park. Checked in promptly and registered car. The staff were friendly and helpful. Bedroom spacious and very clean, comfy bed. As breakfast was included there was a choice of cooked buffet, eggs, bacon, sausages and Beans. The only thing not so nice was the coffee, it was wishy-washy. It's convenient that Sainsbury's is next door. We didn't eat in the evening but you can get food there or McDonald's is opposite. Would stay again if in the area.
