Clayton Hotel Cambridge

It was one of the best experiences in a hotel ever. The service was amazing, the staff were always helpful and kind. They’re assistance was never faulty. Three great staff members were always friendly at the reception; Francesca, Juan and Antra. One of the best hotels I experienced ever. I preferred it’s closeness to the train station and the modernity of the buildings surrounding it to the older buildings in the city Centre. I think Clayton is the best hotel in Cambridge.

Lovely hotel in a great location of the city. Breakfast service not great and should have more than 1 coffee machine for the amount of residents. Cocktails not great from the bar. Rooms very clean and nice decor. Overall a nice hotel to stay at, just needs a few tweeks to improve on.

Francesca at the front desk was particularly helpful and friendly which made our stay great but we felt looked after all the time. Wonderful breakfast and lovely room with walk in shower. Loved it! I only knocked one star off as we had to ask a few times for extra body wash and some of the breakfast items could have been warmer. We also used the scooters to get into town and there were plenty available right outside the hotel so it was ideal. Otherwise about 20mins walk into the centre but only a minute or so from botanical gardens. Thank you 😊

Hotel is located one minute away from the rail station but don't be afraid is quite. It's also 20min walk to the city center

We had amazing experience with afternoon tea that was served in the library which made the experience more enjoyable.

We didn't have breakfast or dinner however the drinks from the bar were good

We had a wonderful night stay at the Clayton Hotel Cambridge for my wife's 40th Birthday.

Our Executive Room with Balcony was luxurious, clean and had everything we needed, and the hotel staff, bar none, were attentive, friendly and helpful from arrival to check out. The bed was huge and so plush and comfortable, and the en suite was gorgeous.

The location is great, an easy 15 min walk into the heart of Cambridge and the area was nice and quiet, off the main road and far enough from the station.

We would highly recommend this lovely hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Cambridge. Thank you.

Choosing to stay close to the railway station was a fantastic idea and I was grateful to find Clayton with clean and spacious room, necessary facilities and comfortable beds. The reception staff were warm and friendly. Walking distance to city center. Worthy to go and strongly recommend. The only thing to improve could be the restaurant and room service varieties - if soup noodles or any Asian food could be served that would be best.

We stayed for 2 nights, Christmas gift from our children. Hotel is 1 minute from Station and car park, very modern and lots of eateries in the area. Twin room was very spacious and comfortable, beds were very high, had to climb in! Bathroom was massive, more of a wet room. Breakfast choice was amazing, loved the fresh fruit and healthy choices, full English if you wanted, eggs to order. Only grumble we had was that there was no information pack in the room, we saw empty dishes outside some rooms so gathered there was room service from a menu in their room and also the tea drawer wasn't replenished, but rectified quickly. We had a wonderful time in Cambridge and would definitely return to the Clayton Hotel. Found out there was a gym when we returned, another reason for an information pack.

Such a lovely hotel in Cambridge. We spend my birthday weekend at Clayton and the staff went above and beyond to make it special at every moment.
Room was nice and clean with a lovely balcony. Breakfast was nice, staff was professional and helpful throughout the stay.
All in all a well worth visit to this place.
