Hotel well placed, 10 minutes walk away from city centre. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast choice is very good but evening meal standard poor. Adequate room and bathroom.

This was a great place and location to stay 1 night before a cruise from Southampton. Food excellent and large portions. Service was brilliant only small negative is windows in rooms cannot be opened at all just air con but a bit stuffy in the night.

Just a note to not bother to upgrade to Premier Plus rooms at this hotel. They are like matchboxes and smaller than the standard rooms. I stayed in a standard room in July and it was fine. This time, I upgraded to Premier Plus as a 'treat' and what a disappointment! The rooms are tiny and all the upgrade appeared to include was a coffee machine. Really not worth the difference. I have stayed in other Premier plus rooms in different locations and they have been fine, just not at Winchester. I live in a small flat, so wasn't expecting a palace, but this room is minuscule and cramped. Apparently, they allocate all of the smallest rooms as Plus rooms as standard rooms often need to accommodate families. You don't expect to pay more for less, so was very disappointed. ☹️

This was a stop off on the way to elsewhere. Good bits were definitely the receptionist and staff who were all friendly and efficient, room was as per all locations so clean and functional. The location is reasonable relative to the city centre. There was a reasonable sized carpark but it is really tight with narrow spaces which seems a feature of many premier inns. I guess you don't make money from a carpark. Worst feature - during the worst drought for years the shower tap was dripping - wasting water and showing that locally at least the commitment to any kind of "green" credential is lacking - plus it's super annoying! Just fix it

The staff here were very friendly and polite. The breakfast was better than I was expecting and very nice. The room was your standard room but could have been cleaned a little better.

We stayed here for one night so we could visit the Winchester Christmas market. The hotel isn't as new as some PIs we've stayed at recently, and would benefit from some tlc, but overall it looked fine. Our room was similarly a little tired, especially the bathroom, but it was still a good size and very clean. The service was excellent, as usual, and my all-you-can-eat breakfast was top-notch. They even heated my pastry in the oven! Free parking is included. Recommended.

Nice location between LHR and Southampton cruise port. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent especially the cooked breakfast.
