Relaxing 4 night break in a Signature room which was very comfortable with stylish furnishings. Generally the food was good but there was always a wait for wine to be delivered to the table and two evenings running the order was wrong. Check your bill at the end of your stay and keep receipts as we were overcharged. Entertainment team good. Car parking was often a problem, despite having a Blue Badge it was very difficult to find a space near to our room.

This hotel provides two levels of service. Very good or absolute k-rap.
When we initially arrived we slowly drove past a shed with 3 people sitting outside on chairs, each of which ingnored us, so we went and parked up and made our way to the reception. Once in reception the first thing they asked was did we collect our welcome pack from the people that ignored us on the way in? After explaining what happened she quickly went and collected it, booked us in and, as we had paid for early check in, we then made or way to our room. On our way there we noticed that the hallway carpets are very badly stretched and wrinkled, which could be a trip hazard to the elderly guests, and then we reached our room. The room was not ready and not habitable, as the headboard was broken and lying facedown on the bed, but that information was either not fed back or not dealt with properly. To their credit the reception staff sorted us out pretty quickly with a new room. The first night meal and following morning breakfast went well as we had good service staff in our area. The midday service was poor. I stood at the service bar being blatantly ignored by the staff behind the counter until the overworked table waitress, saved them from a shouting at, and took our order. That evening meal, and luckily our last night, the service was atrocious. We did well and managed, somehow to get out in 2 hours. But there were some tables that were sat there for well over an hour that were still not seen to by their server when we left. The restaurant service management are either disastrously poor at their job or just non-existent and staff that serve in other areas won't help out what so ever.
I'd highly recommend staying somewhere else.

Food was limited menu and they repeat the options quite frequently. If you like a roast then you will love it.
1. The Royal room we stayed in needed updating and was rather tired. The patio area and windows really need a clean.
2. Gym is OK but equipment very old.
3. Leisure activities OK though book early for archery and rifles.
4. Breakfast choice is basic and the bacon sausage eggs are all what you would expect in a works canteen. We don't like cheap fatty bacon and all the fried eggs were well overcooked.
5. Grounds are kept nice.
6. Drinks are expensive and a £26 bottle of wine is £5.50 in the Co op......
7. Service and detail to attention this time around wasn't the best. Majority of staff appeared unhappy.
8. They cancelled our Christmas 4 day break we have had booked for over 6 months because there was not enough interest and it would appear they sold the week for more money!!! The way they cancelled it wasn't good as they just left a message saying sorry we cancelled your holiday call us if you need anything!!! Not what you would expect from warners...

We have been 8 times in the last 3 years and we feel its gone down hill. We spoke to a lot of unhappy people on holiday. We paid nearly 3k for 3 people for the week and there is no single occupancy rate anymore. We nearly full price for our Dad and there was a slight discount for food....

If there had been 3.5 stars I would gave given that. Room spotless. All public rooms spotless. Friendly staff. Seems to be high staff turnover. Food OK but sometimes cold. Entertainment good. Liked the day time quizzes and games.

My partner treated me to a surprise birthday weekend. Lovely hotel, friendly staff, high standards, food, cleanliness all over. A great show every night, dancing and singing Would definitely go again..

Wonderful, slightly old fashioned hotel with fantastic views, great food and so so helpful staff. My main dislike is the apparently new idea, that if you are enjoying the great evening entertainment and you feel like a drink, then you will have to go to the bar and queue, if you want table service then you will have to pay an upgrade fee to have a waiter bring it to you. I am a mobility scooter user and trying to carry a drink whilst "scooting" is not possible. I then enquired about paying for the upgrade and was told that they have a limited number of upgrades available, and of course there were non left!! I complained as I had not been informed of this prior to my arrival and the the Sunday night entertainment had been the reason for my booking. One of the duty managers then arranged for an upgrade for one night and I was able to see the show, with a drink, thank you very much, it made my stay.
