The Winchfield Inn

Had lunch today with two former colleagues. The lunch ( my choice Roast Chicken in Red Wine gravy) with roast potatoes and vegetables was delicious. The prices are good value and I plan to make this a more frequent venue. The service was excellent so a very pleasant experience all round

We stopped for coffee and a rest after a long walk with the dog. Owners super friendly even provided water for the dog. Coffee good came with biscuit and chocolate. Garden at the back and covered area if raining. Would recommend. Very close to the railway station.

Had a great stay at the Winchfield. Lovely staff, clean and welcoming, bar is stumbling distance from every room and is well stocked with a good choice of drinks. Full english in the morning, or something lighter by request, always well cooked. Try the pie, it's amazing, and the chilli was spot on.

Football on the TV by request, and aslong as its quiet. Railway station over the road does not impact on stay, lovely and quiet indoors. Nice beer garden/outdoor space and heated smoking area. Definately worth a stop if you're passing.

Used it as a stop while bike packing the King Alfred's Way. Rooms are comfortable but basic. Food is ok but staff were very helpful and friendly. Secure bike storage in locked garage.

Good comfortable rooms. Friendly service. Food was hit and miss. No service one night and the following night the steak was like leather. No refund or replacement steak offered. Very disappointing.
Absolutely amazed at the lack of interest from the waiting staff.

Travelled here for lunch and so so friendly and super kid friendly too

Food options were perfect for both adults and kids whilst the play area had all fully working, clean, safe and really good equipment (football goal, decent sized trampoline and more!)

Great service to all round from the moment we booked by phone to the moment we left

One lovely lady even offered our kids a sweet at the end of their meal as a reward (after asking us first in confidence!)

Great place, great food, great service. The food is home cooked and we got asked what we would like the next day as a special. Nice little touch
