A wonderful way to stay at Ickworth, without paying too much. Be aware that it is a 10 minute walk to the main hotel, but you can drive if you need to.
We had the Abele double room and it was wonderful. The maid showed us the other doubles, and ours was the smallest! We had dinner in the restaurant and it was definately worth it for the ambiance and quality of the food.

It's really important to remember that this hotel is aimed at young families. If your looking for somewhere to escape kids this is not the place to go. If you want to have a great time with your family, making special memories/adventures then come here, it's amazing. The lodge is 7 mins to the hotel and has huge bedrooms that allows parents loads of space. The facilities are great with trampolines, giant outdoor have, consoles, indoor games and just space everywhere. Bike rides, adventures playgrounds, horses, trees to climb, everything is there and it's great. We'll be coming back soon!

Luxurious surroundings, and very comfortable rooms added up to a great stay for us at the Ickworth Hotel. I've reviewed the hotel separately, but this is purely about the Lodge, where we stayed in a self-contained apartment. It consisted of a large double bedroom with a queen-size bed, and a second bedroom with twin beds. There was a fridge, sink, microwave, small dining table, TV and comfy chairs. It also had a large bathroom too. The Lodge itself was as opulent as the hotel and was right next door to a field full of sheep, which just made for an altogether more rural, relaxing stay.

Great service, great room, perfect surroundings. The breakfast was great. Bar available in the main hotel where we had a lovely hot chocolate. We will return.

Fantastic rooms and breakfast. Great selection of things to distract the children. WiFi is frustratingly patchy though.

Nice hotel but misses a little bit of finesse. The menu is a little limited and inconsistent as the same with the service. However, the rooms and the grounds are lovely.
