Belfry Hotel

Stayed for 2 nights for a family party which was held there.
We had doubles and a family room. Rooms were a good size and clean.
The buffet was good, breakfast was very good, meat i would imagine locally sourced. Also eat in the bar again no complaints.
No complaints regarding staff, everyone was pleasant and Shane the manager? was particularly outstanding, proficient and kind. Thought it was very good value for money.
Would definitely stay again.

My friends and I stayed for 2 nights here recently.

As a whole the experience was great, golf courses are lovely and well worth a visit.

There are however a few negatives that disappointed the group:

- The food in Sam's bar really isn't great, club sandwich probably gets a 3/10, the ham and cheese toastie is swimming in cheese and is extremely sickly - its not hard to make a decent sandwich so the chef needs to go back to the drawing board.
- The price of the food is also badly reflected in the quality.
- Part of the reason we booked the resort was to be able to use the spa, unfortunately the spa is non existent as it is being re done, just a heads up for anyone looking to visit over summer.
- In the main reception there is a pond out the back which left a bad smell in the lobby. This also filtered through to the bar in the lobby which wasn't ideal.
- The rooms are split by blocks and unfortunately we ended up in a block with a hen do, appreciate everyone wants to have fun but it'd be great if the resort could separate the hen do from quiet golf parties looking to get some rest before a big round.
- Beer selection is okay but bud light and corona on tap have got to go.

Some other positives to note, rooms are lovely, towels are lovely and fluffy and the power from the shower is terrific. Staff also very friendly and not much waiting around to be done, always a plus.

Overall would visit again but some work to be done to make this resort the real deal.

Stopped off for a Sunday roast. Had a delicious carvery, from friendly and helpful staff. The meal was very reasonably priced, the potatoes were very flavoursome and the quantity of meat served was generous. Honest food, good value.

Stayed here while visiting family in the forest.

Staff were polite and helpful and our room was clean only downside was the window in the room would not open.

I booked a 2 day golf package and hotel stay I booked for myself each day tee of 12.50 first day 11.45 next day.
I have had an operation on my knee months before not played golf for 6mths as my leg is now disabled I organised to play solo as I could take my time going around confirmed on booking in confirmed night before when I booked buggy next day went to tee of they put my with 3 other groups which I felt was unfair I can't believe that such a high profile golf club does not support disability golfers had no reply from the club after I requested a phone call its so upsetting that I had to go to another club to play a round of golf

Only went for the Sunday carvery. Had to queue 10 minutes in the corridor, could be organised better. Food OK, tons of meat.

Went for a mid afternoon occasion, service and staff were excellent, well positioned for a visit to the area. Can't comment on rooms etc as not used.

Excellent food great service a really nice place to relax and enjoy a great meal.
