Hampshire Court Hotel & Spa

We stayed here at the weekend for a hen party. We have to say that we had the most amazing time here. The spa and the treatments was absolutely amazing and has to be one of the best treatments we have had in a very long time, all the girls came out saying how amazing they were so thank you ladies at the spa you was awesome :) The staff in the hotel and restaurant were so friendly, helpful and absolutely amazing and couldn't do enough for us and to accommodate us with any bits I needed to make my friends hen weekend a special one; and to say that it was she was over the moon. The only thing I would probably give a negative feedback is that the air conditioning was not working in any of the rooms or hotel and it was to hot and stuffy but apart from that it was great. So thank you again for everything and we would defo come back again.

Upon arrival the hotel reception looked and smelt clean, we were greeted with a friendly member of staff who made check in quick and easy.
However when arriving at the room The decor was dated the carpets were stained and minimal cleaning had been done. We were travelling with a five month old luckily we travel with our own travel cot as the cot that they provide is a plank of wood in a playpen.
The following morning at breakfast at £12 a head extra we were greeted by inexperienced and poorly trained staff. I was carrying my five month old and had to ask for a highchair which took 10 minutes to find and when it arrived I was mortified at how dirty it was, I then proceeded to clean this myself with my baby wipes as the staff watched.
The breakfast was poorly cooked and covered in grease, no colour to the sausages poor quality of bacon and soggy fried bread.
After returning from a day out we wanted to use the on-site facilities, we ordered four drinks in the bar which took 20 minutes to arrive all to find one of the drinks that they already charged us for was out of stock. After asking twice for a refund 40 minutes later I then had to go to reception and ask for a refund to which they did not know the price for the Pimms and they themselves had to go to the bar to find out. There was no apology given for this inconvenience and the staff didn’t show any understanding of good customer service.
When booking a spa hotel we had in mind to use the facilities but on the Saturday we were told we couldn’t use the pool due to a scheduled class that happens every week this could’ve been explained to us on the booking or at latest on arrival.
Overall very disappointing for a so-called 4 star hotel…

Spa morning here with family members so did not stay over or access rooms.

Service good, friendly and helpful people all round hotel and spa. Swimming pool absolutely warm much to our surprise.
Changing areas were clean and tidy.

Light lunch was nice and the pudding - vanilla cheesecake was the best I have eaten for quite a while!

Booked a standard double room and found it was bigger than most we've encountered in other hotels, bathroom was very spacious and we were pleased to see we had a balcony. Bed was very comfortable. Housekeeping knocked on our door early which wasn't necessary as we were only staying the one night, I didn't enjoy being woken up by someone knocking on the door when we were due to check out a couple of hours later. I'd understand if we were staying more than one night.

The gym is amazing, we could tell a lot of money had been put into it, equipment seemed almost brand new, easy to use, lovely space.

Unfortunately the pool area let's this place down, there was an odd smell and it didn't seem clean, there was visible dirt at the bottom of the pool. As a hotel that advertises a spa attached to it, there was no jacuzzi, showers in the women's changing rooms were going rusty and covered in limescale.

Overall a lovely stay but pool area and changing room needs improvements, especially for a hotel that is 4 star.

The manager Liam was the most attentive young gentleman we could have dreamed of!
We came for an day at the spa and got treated like royalty, staff were so welcoming and helpful.
I had a massage from the lovely Ida! She was phenomenon, best massage I've EVER had!

Stayed two nights. Bed very comfortable. Unfortunately there was a party on Saturday night and some noise going on in the night. Te bathroom also was not fully clean as there were some hairs on the floor when we arrived. Breakfast was very poor for the 12£ they charged. When we arrived at 10.10, it seemed to have run out of almost everything. Coffee was unacceptable, it was really just coloured water. Fortunately, at least we got 50% back of the breakfast price. There is parking available outside hotel.

We visited Hampshire Court using a spa experience voucher that we had, from the moment we arrive all of the staff were really friendly and helpful. We found all areas to be clean and tidy and the facilities are pretty decent. Enjoyed the separated adult/kids pool element and there are plenty of different seating areas inside and out for a relaxed break. Lunch were included in our deal and I had expected it to be a bit on the light/tight side, it weren't and was a really decent meal in the end. Ample parking outside too and easy to find being signposted from the main road.

Staff were really friendly but unfortunately so understaffed, 1 on reception trying to check in everyone at 3pm. Rooms not ready so given drinks voucher but only 1 poor young girl working the bar and trying to take snack orders on her own, with a function on with approx 1000+ people arriving, so VERY long bar queues.
