The Spa Hotel

It was my first time in the area and I had to slow down in my car to take in the beauty of the surrounding areas. It was a very pleasant drive. Very important is that the spa hotel has lots off car parking space and the hotel is happy to reserve 3 spaces for your guests if you have an event. Staff is friendly and they have lots of comfortable seating areas in lobbies while you wait. Event halls are beautiful and the event coordinators are always willing to go above and beyond to help you enjoy the best of your event.

Update:
I had my wedding in May and it was amazing. We planned to do an outdoor wedding but it started raining. The staff got both the indoor and outdoor venues ready to go. The went above and beyond. Helped keep the registrars when we were running late and kept communicating with me, keeping me calm and just handling the situation.

The reception was fantastic, my guests can't stop talking about the quality of food service and the hall. The grounds are beautiful so I have lots of lovely pictures.

Lovely hotel. We stayed in an indulgent room. It was beautifully presented and very comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were very tasty. The bar had a very relaxed atmosphere, great for relaxing after dinner.
We made full use of the spa and the treatments were very good.
We will be back again.

We stayed overnight, following our wedding in 2011. A beautiful location. A beautiful room and a wonderful breakfast. The staff were very attentive and polite. We recently went back celebrating a dear friends passing. Again the ambience was wonderful, as was the catering and the staff. I can't recommend the establishment highly enough.

A lovely weekend visit with superb facilities and a friendly atmosphere. Staff service was great, always on hand to help.

Good parking and close to local points of interest.

Gym is well equipped for all your training needs.

Good spa facilities including pool, sauna and steam.

Room huge, does need a second easy chair for 2 guests. Chair comfortable as was the bed. Delicious tea, coffee and ginger biscuits. Lots of good quality toiletries and good quality towels and loo roll.
Spa changing rooms, steam room is a little tired and quite small, sauna small but very effective, the pool was cold but lovely, again just 10metres long. Towels and locker token provided.

This was the third time my wife and I had stayed here (last being 2016) and it did not disappoint. We arrived a little early for check in, so had a drink in the bar 1st. The bar was clean and the barman was excellent. After checking in, we used the pool and sauna, which was clean and tidy. We ate dinner and breakfast which at first glanced seems expensive, but once eaten, was well worth it. The portion sizes were spot on, and left you full. The room was excellent and spacious also. Definitely recommend!

Stayed for 5 nights as a writing holiday room was lovely. Staff were fantastic, and were happy to answer any questions. The food was delicious, and the spa and pool was an easy walk from my room.

I had treatments every day at the spa, and they were all fantastic would reccomend.

They were always polite even in the booking process, where I called to arrange specific details for my stay.

Just to note the room I picked was an attic room and had steps that needed to go to it, the staff helped me with my luggage but if you require step free access they do have rooms that you can access via a lift. I'd advise you to call and ask if this is a requirement.

We had a last minute stay here last night due to the down pour of snow, meaning we couldn't get home. I have to leave this review to say a special thank you to all the staff. They were so friendly and accommodating, especially the front of house team who were run ragged helping lots of other unfortunate folk who couldn't get home that night. The staff really make this a special place. It has a lot of character, is charming and you feel at ease. The room we booked was classed as 'spacious' and it lived up to its name. Would highly recommend mostly due to the team of friendly staff.
