De Salis Hotel London Stansted

Website inaccurate.
States 24 hour airport shuttle. When reading in more detail states 3.30am until midnight and to just book on arrival.
When I booked the room and parking online I stated in requests the times I would like the shuttle and didn't think anything of it.

Only at check in were we told the shuttle is 4am until 1pm only!! Why weren't we not contacted and told before. I would have booked another hotel with a shuttle as advertised.
In the morning the shuttle ran late as the driver turned up at 4am rather then being ready to leave at 4am. Then waited for late guests which I don't think is appropriate when others are on time and need to be at the airport (the staff were aware we had expected a shuttle at 3.30am like the website states and keen to leave). Late comers should get the next shuttle, not make other guests late!

Our flight back was delayed so missed the 1pm cut off for shuttle back to collect car. A helpful receptionist said call when you land and they can book a taxi at a good rate. Upon landing I spoke to Dani who refused to call us a taxi and was very unhelpful.

On top of that the rooms are disgusting. Falling apart and dirty. Wouldn't stay here again and do not recommend.

Stayed 1 night 1st Sept. 2022, run down hotel, parked for 2 weeks, arrived back at Stansted on the 16th Sept. after a 2 hr delay at Menorca, phoned the hotel for a pick up, voicemail saying leave phone no. they’ll get back to me, left it for while phoned again, same reply, waited no one had the decency to reply, tried a taxi had to wait 1hr. Eventually got back to the Salis a bloke in reception told me he was busy, that’s why he couldn’t answer the phone, NOT good enough! It’s a bloody hotel for goodness sake!!! Never again.

Cheap and cheerful. The rooms are dated but clean and for the price what more do you want? Very convenient for Stanstead. Plenty of parking and the staff are friendly and helpful.

I booked a single room in this hotel and the room was awful and dirty and full of spiders the bathtub is the worst and the smell is bad and also the bath cover is full of dirty spots I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT TO FAMILIES OR SOLO. NOT WORTH THE MONEY. And airport shuttle is supposed to be 12 pounds and the reception insisted on paying 18 pounds for one person.

Stayed here for the Stansted parking as offered shuttle service to and from airport for £18.00. we were taken at 04.00am to airport and driver told us where to get collected. On return to the UK, at 01.30am we phoned to let them know we were at airport and was told they have no shuttle service as they have no driver!

This hotel appears to be used as a emergency housing, we were greeted by people hanging out of the windows smoking with cans of Stella and kids running around. We booked the return transfer to and from Stansted with the hotel shuttle £36 return for 2 people,we returned on the Sunday and were informed that the transfer doesn't run on a Sunday and we had to get a private taxi at over £30, not the greatest experience.

Nothing Incredible. It's reasonably close to Stansted airport, however you'll have to take a taxi to the place and they will charge you 25 pounds for a 6 minute drive.
The hotel offers a shuttle service, it was 17 pounds for a couple which will drop you off at Radisson Blu's entrance - itself a walking distance from the airport.
The hotel looks a little bit run down / old but it is calm and quiet. We had to wait quite a bit at reception any time we needed something (i.e. to ask for the shuttle service).

Very outdated and run down, the only good thing about the hotel was the room was clean. Towels aren't kept in the bathroom, only given 1 pillow with no spares stored anywhere in the room. No ironing board/iron in the room, dirty marks over bed/walls/ceilings. The shower was situated in the middle of the bath tub facing out of the bath(doesn't make sense) and the bathroom gets flooded because of it. It's cheap,outdated and run down, wouldn't stay here again.
