We didn't get to stay. I reserved 4 rooms 2 months ago, I spoke to Michael who told me to let him have my card details a week before we arrived and gave me a booking reference. I telephoned today to confirm the booking for the 10th September (we are attending a family wedding) to be told by Michael there was no booking as he had no card details. Absolutely disgusted, inefficient and very unhelpful. Nightmare. .

As soon as we arrived we found quite a few significant problems. Rude staff, poorly decorated rooms and communal spaces as well as the rooms being unclean and scruffy. Everything needs an update and the staff are pushing away customers with their service and demeanour. The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because we slept well and the TV was good.

I stayed here for two nights over a weekend and it was a great place to stay.
The staff were really friendly and welcoming and it was really easy to get to.

Best bits:
The staff were lovely - really friendly and welcoming
Breakfast - I don't normally eat breakfast so my lack of participation was no reflection on the food! The breakfast I did have was great - well cooked and big portions
The rooms - Some people have commented on the decor being outdated - frankly I couldn't care less! The shower was hot, the bed was comfy and clean, the room was quiet, and overall it was clean and tidy.
The price - Amazing! A brilliant affordable hotel that I would definitely stay in again :)

A couple of points to note though, the passage to the car park is narrow so be aware if you have a large vehicle. That's not the fault of the hotel, it's just hwere it is located. The parking is free though which is a bonus!

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because there was no way to turn the radiator down, which was blazing, and so I had to leave the windows open.

All in all - a great place to stay!

If you’re looking for a fantastic traditional bed and breakfast, this hotel is for you, it’s run and hosted by Michael and Robert the owners and they have rung this place for 37 years, you won’t find a better bed and breakfast hotel for the price anywhere reason why I charged fantastic breakfast in the morning every day starting at 6:30 am, and for the price you even get a French in the room, a very large walk-in shower central heating clean towels provided every two days which some hotels don’t do and a homely welcome.
It’s a no-frills hotel, so you’re not going to find expensive pictures on the walls or fancy wallpaper it’s a basic very clean very warm hotel with everything you need. Like I said from fridge to ironing board to iron to hairdryer to Land Line phone in every room, most rooms have double beds in which is two houses, not into one at the front that they have a large Annick at the back with car parking in a secure gated car park at the rear of the hotel, trust me I’ve travelled around B&Bs for 40 odd years. This is a bargain home from home.

I would simply NEVER EVER SET FOOT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN.
From the moment you arrive thistatty, age worn and shoddy hotel manages to add to each disappointement with another straight after.
From a "reception" desk that has cage shutters all around, to the narrow steep stair case, the initial impression is that you made a mistake!!
The room, which is actual a collection of interlinked cupboards was another delight. Tiny beds, light fittings hanging off the wall, aging smelly bedding, and a hot water tap that took nearly two minutes to run hot.

Upon asking for a better room, I was met with the WORST attitude and defensive manner, being told thatr hotel beds are all that size, and obviously at 6'1" tall I am obviously a giant and have the audacity to want my feet to be in the bed!!

Avoid this place like the plague,

I have just stayed at the Langham Hotel over this weekend. The two owners were friendly helpful and attentive from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were warm with central heating good showers and the bed comfortable and all very clean. I slept very well and the breakfast was excellent. 0lenty of parking space too. Very good value for money. I think they have created a nice welcoming atmosphere and they clearly care about their guests. I would definitely stay again if I'm in Northampton.

Rooms are ok, but the heater is not controlled by the guests so need to remind them to turn on in cold weather. The fan in the bathroom is faulty so the room is damp. The breakfast tables are so crowded and no much space for your plates. But the price is very good so for a budget hotel, this is best value.

Short stay, but I was very pleased surprised with this hotel. Very clean, professional team, get more than you expect for the price. Definitely will use it again.
