Location, location, location. The hotel is a few minutes walk away from the central market of Norwich. The hotel is a perhaps beginning to show its age but nothing that would stop me staying there again. The room was quite large, comfortable and very good value. The staff were happy, helpful and welcoming. A really good place to stay if you need to be in the centre of Norwich.

Went for afternoon tea with a group of friends. Very disappointed. Sandwiches were dry and only 2 finger sandwiches per person, a bite size sausage roll although the cheese and fruit scones were nice and a good size. Bite size macaroons and a brownie and a mousse in a shot glass. Coffee was served in thermal flasks and left on the table.
Had to try and find staff as no sugar on table. Expensive and have had better afternoon tea would not go there again

I can't actually say my stay at St Giles house was poor as I never made it to stay there. However, the customer service was horrendous. After booking online to pay on arrival, the hotel took the payment prior to my stay. I tried to change the date as I was unable to stay at that time - I purchased a package in which I could change dates up to 14 days before the visit. After 10s of emails and several calls, I was told that the initial payment was never made regardless of the fact that I had emailed over a copy of my bank statement. I was assured (without even so much as an apology) that the refund would be made but weeks later, it never was. I had to go through my bank to finally get my money back (over £500!) and now months on, St Giles Hotel are trying to dispute this once again. I never got to stay there, and now I never will. The customer service has been terrible and it's not worth going through this again.

Great location and friendly staff. Breakfast was complete and the staff were friendly. The only issue was that they are understaffed, and food took sometime to arrive if going for an early breakfast (7:00 AM). I had a nice large room with a bath and shower, perfectly clean and orderly. The reception team was helpful and responsive.

No issues with any of the Staff... friendly... location excellent.
We stayed in a junior suite.
The good.... nice big room... very big bed... nice bathroom... 2 lovely old fire places.... lovely roll top bath.
The not so good..... it tired, old, in need of some tlc. Can't imagine it'll keep its 4 star rating.
No mattress topper, sheet doesn't fit, 4 ordinary pillows look lost on a bed this size, furniture breaking down, window blinds crooked, window sills not cleaned, anti bath slip mat perished & torn. The sealant on the roll top bath looked like a 7 year old had done it, hot tap broken, no robes, no bubble bath for that lovely roll top, ordered breakfast in bed (service charged).. when arrived notice no cutlery..called reception.... after arrived also noticed no butter or sauces... another call...a second trip...breakfast getting cold.
Overall I would not stay here again!

We had a lovely stay in the Georgian suite. Good cooked breakfast next morning with plenty of choice. Staff very helpful and friendly. The rooms are looking a little tired but they are cleaned properly, the dinning area could have been cleaner in the morning for breakfast though. We was told there will be some renovations in the new year so we are both looking forward to staying again and to see what has been done. It is a fabulous building in a perfect location for the centre of Norwich. This hotel could be amazing with some pennies spent and the right design team. We like staying here as the hotel has a nice feel to it

St Giles House Hotel hosted our hen party in one of their private rooms. It is a lovely location and a lovely hotel. The staff were brilliant and attentive. This was a last minute booking as our original venue cancelled on us. They pulled everything together so quickly and we had such a fun time. Highly recommended. Thank you so much.

All the staff were helpful when needed and beyond. Room , very good , warm and clean but you can see where they are getting ready for a face lift in the new year. Wonderful original decor that they hope to match in the face lift. Breakfast, good choice for everyone.
