Escaped the chaos of a new boiler installation by booking a room here which was dog friendly.
Had asked beforehand if they would accept 3 small dogs which they said they would but at £5 extra.
When checked in it was £5 per dog which wasn't an issue but it should have been made clearer.
The room was 'functional' but had scaffolding all over the window which wasn't mentioned, right next to the massive kitchen extractor tube so ok if you liked the smell of chips etc all day.
Building work going on all day on the property behind which isn't the fault of this hotel but very noisy.
The staff were lovely and so helpful, probably a bit understaffed as despite the description no room service and breakfast service hours reduced but very friendly.
The breakfast was good quality and included in the room rate.
No problem with parking either which was a relief.

Comfortable hotel in a good location for ferry etc. Quiet spot and good onsite parking.
Staff were friendly and breakfast is good value.
The rooms are large and clean but the hallways could do with new carpets, other than that it's all good.

The room was not spacious but clean and comfortable, ideal for a few days away. The food was excellent with lots of choice and the staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel is only a 25 minute walk away from the station very handy for going into Portsmouth for example. The only suggestion that my Wife and I would make is that it would be good to have a choice of fruit on the breakfast menu. We will be making a return visit in the future.

This review is for the restaurant and staff and especially the chefs!
I eat out a lot and I am always blown away by the service , the choice, the quality of the food and the exceptional homemade dishes that makes this restaurant my top choice in the whole of Gosport and Fareham! I give a thumbs up to the chefs when I exit as they deserve it. Could eat here every night if I could afford it. I’ve had all vegetarian choices on the menu and my partner all the meat and no complaints about any of them. Keep up the good work, we will be back again and again with friends and family. What a relief to have you up the road.

Very reasonable hotel for the price, staff were great, room was comfortable and breakfast was good.

Be warned, if you were going to treat yourself, significant other, or just buy one out of your inquisitiveness, there's a machine in the men's toilet by the bar that sells vibrators (for 5 X £1), it stole our money.

That vibrator could have bumped the review up to 4 stars...

Excellent location if you would like to explore surrounding areas. The team was really competent, especially in breakfast time. Of course it's a dog friendly hotel. Only thing that let down was a bed. I suffer from sciatica, and this hotel bed left me with horrible pain.
