One of the best hotels I have stopped in. Staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with an excellent selection. Will stay there again at some point for sure.

Visited for afternoon tea. £28 comprised 4 tiny sandwiches, 4 small cakes, 2 overcooked scones with cream and jam and a pot of tea. The service was adequate but, once the food was delivered, we were ignored. The table was cleared whilst we were paying which felt as though we were being rushed out - staff could at least have waited until we'd stood up!!!! A service charge was automatically added to the bill which we felt was rather presumptuous. Not a positive experience - we won't be back. There are many, many other places to eat in Henley so, if The Red Lion wants to stand out, they need to seriously up their game in terms of customer service and value! Perhaps I should have complained at the time but this was a special treat for my mother and I didn't want to spoil the experience for her.

Exquisitely, recently renovated Relais property. The menu is really something special and the service immaculate. Ideal for a special occasion. New owners have gone to great lengths both to preserve history and upgrade the property

Went in for a drink today. Has been refurbished beautifully. Spotlessly clean. Looking forward to going back for lunch and possibly stay for a night.

Beautiful renovation! I like the bar and restaurants design, new but old style!
