Oatlands Park Hotel

We came for our anniversary. Beautiful, clean room nicely decorated with all the expected amenities. Staff really helpful & went out of their way (especially Fysal on reception) to ensure we had a lovely weekend. The breakfast is excellent, a selection of continental or full English. Fine dining in the evening overlooking the lawn & lake with a glass of wine...superb! Will definitely come again & can't recommend it enough.

Daily menu rather limited in choice and if you're on a travel deal including dinner there are some extras to pay . Wine choices also quite limited and expensive. But all in all we love this hotel !

I took a friend here for afternoon tea to celebrate her birthday. Unfortunately, the usual area for tea was not available because the hotel was hosting a conference. Therefore, we had to take tea in the foyer. Although the hotel’s foyer is far from plain, it does not have the grandeur of larger, prestigious hotels so it felt very improvised to be seated in the foyer, especially when no one else was taking tea. The service was attentive but there was little polish to the experience. The finger sandwiches were over filled and had too much butter. This meant that they were floppy. The patisserie tasted as if it had been defrosted rather than home-made/bought in chilled. Overall, I was disappointed. However, the tea deserves three stars because the quality was not poor; instead, it was middling.

Friends gathering to celebrate birthday. The rooms were good size. The staff were friendly and efficient, they did everything they could to ensure we were a happy group. The food was excellent.

The room was well appointed but could do with some more cleaning. Marked walls and mould in the showers. The buffet breakfasts were adequate but could do with an upgrade.

However, the evening meal was first class, well cooked, perfectly seasoned and delicious. Also, the hotel staff were incredibly attentive and sensitive from the most junior to the managers, knowing that we were a large family party attending a funeral.

Overall a very positive experience.

Stayed over with hubby and friends. The hotel decor was lovely, clean, neat and bright. Lovely atmosphere, greenery and a river behind. Breakfast was good and rooms clean. Will definitely visit again if I am in the area.

A four star hotel on five star grounds in every sense. Above average service, rooms, food, ambience, etc. In my opinion to meet a five star rating, management needs to look closely at some of the tiny fixes that need to made to make this hotel flawless. Some painting repair, rust in the shower... the details that come along with being an older building. I also found lipstick on my mug one
morning but that can happen anywhere so calling it a fluke.

Amazing venue! Staff are very helpful and friendly. Room was lovely. Breakfast had great options. Would highly recommend and can't wait to come back again!
