Went here for afternoon tea with a friend as I was given a voucher for Christmas. First thing I'd point out is that you have to ring up to book which is fine but they only take your name and email address but I never received a confirmation so had to ring up a few times to actually confirm that my booking existed.

Hotel/restaurant is quite nice and in a good location. The afternoon tea itself is mediocre at best. Nothing stood out in any way shape or form that would entice me to return. The staff were friendly and we were seated quickly and attended to. The sandwiches were okay as were the cakes. The cream was just rock solid so both if us just ended up butchering the scones trying to put cream on them.

Would not come back anytime soon as just not memorable.

Finally out of this place! The only good thing about is the location, it’s perfect. Other than that, the rooms are super dirty & dusty. The towels smell like a kitchen. The bed sheets are very itchy, I couldn’t sleep comfortably. There were flies in the bedroom. We informed the management and they tried to keep an effort in cleaning the room but a lot of spaces that I pointed out were the same and still very dusty. This is a standard of a 2/3 star hotel, not a 5. Such a bad experience. I’ll definitely not recommend this hotel, and never coming back again..

This hotel was as far from 5 star - 2 star at most. The welcome on arrival was unfriendly and uninterested. To get to our rooms we had to walk through the breakfast room which was full of staff slouching around eating and chatting. Whilst we absolutely expect staff to have breaks etc we didn't really expect to have to negotiate our way through them to get to our rooms in a 5 star hotel. Once past this area we went through the door to the bedrooms and there was a horrible smell - this was there the entire weekend.

On reaching our rooms we were slightly disappointed with the size but do realise its London. What we didn’t expect was the poor state of the rooms. The bathrooms were in poor repair. We had 2 coat hangers, neither of the safes worked and both rooms smelt damp and not unfortunately p of the luxury scent we pre ordered (and didn’t get)!

The carpet in Room 807 was soaking at the bathroom door and coming up at the corner as well as having a terrible damp smell. The finishing around the shower was disgusting and mouldy.

We complained and asked for new rooms but were told the hotel was full but that we’d be advised if any rooms became available but that there would be a charge!

On going to bed that evening we were unable to switch the bedside lamps off and had to sleep with the lights on all night. One was also loose and falling off the wall. At breakfast the next day we discovered both rooms had had this issue – the only thing that would sort it was to remove the room key. We reported this in the morning and again noted the room issues as above. Breakfast was passable but not exactly the “ultimate luxury experience …”.

Having resigned ourselves to just making do with the rooms we asked for them to be serviced and went out for the day. On return, we had to ask again re the lights. The receptionist showed how to switch them off at the bottom (not at all obvious), still unsure as to how they managed to be on when none of us had put them on in the first place. The rooms hadn’t been serviced and the safes were still not working.

That evening as we left a couple were checking in and I heard them being told they’d been given a complimentary upgrade – how was this possible when we were told there were no rooms and, if there was, that we’d get charged for asking to move!

We have tried to raise the issues we had with the hotel and had absolutely no response to our emails. Terrible service and a terribly run down hotel.

The 2 stars are only for the location.
I’m very disappointed with the hotel.
1. The hotel needs to be renovated and refurnished. Their furniture is so old, the bed sides are peeled off.
2. Their housekeeping is not the best at cleaning - I’ve been to different hotels, and when comparing, their cleaning kind of sucks.
3. Only 1 out of maybe 5 electricity sockets is working.
4. My door lock battery is not working and now i have to wait for someone to fix the batteries (they should have checked before someone stays in the room)
5. My laundry came in semi wet and not ironed properly:)

This is my first and last time staying here for sure. I’m not sure why this is ranked as a 5 star hotel

We decided to indulge ourselves with a break and planned a nice night out just for the two os us... and couldn't say anything but what a great idea.

Hotel staff was really kind and friendly, and when talking about our stay there, we were gifted with an upgrade from our room to the WOW Suite... the name is fairly accurate indeed.

Our weekend has been memorable, we cannot find enough words to say thanks, it is sure we have found our place for any future break.

Thanks so much, you have made our weekend really special.

This review is for the spa. There is a shower, a jacuzzi, a small swimming pool, a sauna and a turkish steam room. The sauna was out of order and no one informed when I did the booking. All the appliances are old and in mediocre working condition - the jacuzzi works for 4 minutes and then you have to wait for 2-3 before you can press again for it to work. The toilets were not clean enough and there was no gel or shampoo in the showers. Then we go to the massage: I had booked for 30 minutes, when I was already laying down they came to ask me if I could change therapist or I would have a delay. I accepted and started 5-10 minutes late, but they finished on time. So I had a nice massage but for 20 minutes. No comments or compensation from reception for any of the two things. I really do not recommend - this is not a 5-star hotel spa.

Good hotel but I'm not sure how this is considered a 5 star hotel. The place needs some updates and the rooms themselves aren't impressive or unique. Basic airport hotel vibes, small and just enough comfort for a few nights. The courtyard is beautiful and location is great.

I had the perfect experience in here. I’m very happy with everything! Especially the staff. They were very helpful and understanding! As much as I tried like many hotels but i never been happier! I’ve been in London for 10 days and I booked only for 5 days so i can try out another hotel for the rest days but after the first 5 days my family loved it in here so I booked for the rest 5 days! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL if you want the best!
