We had a nice stay but feel its a little over priced. We didn`t expect breakfast to be self service for £12.95 a head. Although there was plenty of choice. We stayed in room 202, comfortable bed and slept ok, although was very warm. Windows don`t open very wide. TV was in a strange position, on a wall oposite the table. So couldn`t watch from the bed, and had to move the sofa out into the room to watch. The shower was odd.. not a proper shower, almost designed for a bath/tap arrangement.. couldn`t fix it high, so shooting out sideways instead. En-suite lacked towel rail for hand towel too. Although did have a shelf for toiletries. Decor a little tired in places around the hotel. Staff were friendly though.

Nice and clean hotel. Easy check in process.
Lots of parking outside for a small fee.
Room was a good size, plus a nice view towards the sea front.
Good location for walking into town, and also convenient (if like us) as a one night stopover from UK to European mainland.

A lovely classy hotel that is good value too if you book in advance. All public areas and rooms are comfortable and very clean and staff are friendly, efficient and welcoming. This was our second visit this year and we intend to come back!

Rooms are incredibly noisy. We requested a quiet room and were given 101 which was directly next to the lift. The bed was next to the wall where people stood waiting for the lift so from 5am you could hear talking, beeping, doors shutting, walking etc. Incredibly annoying.

I raised the issue of being close to the lift when I checked in and was told that's all they had left (despite being told over the phone earlier that day that we would have a quiet room). I raised it again in the morning with the very unhelpful receptionist. I was told the manager would contact me. Nearly 2 weeks later he still hasn't.

We found the parking difficult and time consuming. You have to park on the street and we couldn't find a space close to the hotel.

Breakfast was self service and we had to wait for things they'd run out of, including plates!

If you want a good night's sleep or good customer service, avoid this hotel!!

Traditional but renewed hotel with refurbished nice and clean rooms. Looks modern now.
Good staff. Nice breakfast.

Charging 25 pounds for one small dog for one night is kind of ridiculous (we thought England was a very dog friendly country).
Only the hall way at the reception has a dog allowance.

Great hotel with a perfect view on the ocean. Also the restaurant included serves very tasty food for a good price. Definitely recommend 👍🏻

I have always loved The View and The Cliffe Restaurant. The staff are always attentive and helpful,,there's a good selection of food and of course, there's THE VIEW overlooking the Channel from The Leas.
Today, we had lunch here, and it was absolutely brilliant.
