Creeky floorboards and wonky staircase charm. Lovely bar/sitting area. Located on a quiet street, but not far from Camden/Swiss Cottage.
Rooms on the 4th floor are suffer from solar gain and lack of through-breeze to cool again. Single rooms are a bit small.

Positive: Beautiful decor, clean well prepared rooms for the price. Unfortunately no air conditioning, but very conveniently two small fans were provided. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. Negative: Everything was great, the service was very friendly.

When we got into our room, on the 25th of December, the windows were open and the heating was off: it was freezing and not a nice welcome.
In the bathroom there was no toothpaste and when we asked for some they brought us a very tiny one, for one person only.
The pillows are cheap and nasty, and very uncomfortable.
The heating water pipe makes a lot of noise because it's old and dirty.
There was a lot of loud door slamming from other guests and the cleaners all night and morning that didn't let us sleep.
Our Xmas night was spoilt because of the low standard of this hotel which has prices that aren't justified.
I will not go back there again and I won't recommend it to anyone who has any standards.

This place is beyond poor and disgusting, tiny room as small as a single room, carpets smell funny and so dirty, toilet looks like a nursing home toilet. It’s so old and creepy. I would come here even if someone paid me. Absolutely disgusting place. Only good thing about this place is location. Apart from that it’s nasty.

Getting there by car you shouldn’t have to worry about congestion charge, but you may pass an London ULEZ zone, worth checking your car does not have to pay for it.
The area is great, clean and safe.
It is 5 minutes away from Swiss Cottage underground station, which is Jubilee line, so connected to central London.
Parking near the hotel is free from Saturday 01:00 PM and Sunday, however within 5 to 10 minutes’ walk there is parking free from Friday 06:00 PM to Monday 08:30 AM.
There is also a CO-OP 5 minutes’ walk, great if you need to buy snacks or refreshments.
The hotel is big, and as mentioned in other reviews, dated, however in my opinion I like it and adds to the character of the hotel.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
In terms of the room itself, it was spacious and overall clean and tidy. Our specific room was very quiet (in a good way) and provided the best night sleep. I did notice in the entrance, where you leave your shoes, there was a thick layer of dust in the skirting board.
The bed itself was comfortable and we had a good night of sleep.
The bathroom specifically in our room was relatively modern, but awkward layout – the shower was very small, and some people may struggle with it, and the toilet was also placed next to the sink, some people may struggle using it as well.
Going for breakfast it is a steep stair, which is fine for most people but worth mentioning.
The food was good, hot, and plenty of variety in the buffet. The food arrived a bit slower in the second day of our stay.
Overall, we recommend this hotel for its excellent location, comfortable room, good value for money and close to the underground which takes you straight to central London. It is great for weekend getaways.

It's five minutes walking from the Swiss cottage tube station. We stayed in room 107 right opposite the reception. It's a huge room by London standards, with a balcony! The room is equipped for wheelchair users. Although we are not, we enjoyed the room. It has several defects - the bathroom sink is too small and sprays water. There should be an extra chair in the room. The reception can be noisy at times. But the size of the room and the bathroom, and the location of the hotel, makes up for everything!

Rooms need updating, got given a room.... But Box!! not fit for an adult with the most uncomfortable bed with springs hanging out, about 5ft long so not good, staff very pleasant, breakfast excellent, for 13 pound,!!! overall had to stay as desperate for an on site emergency down the road.
Near on empty, but told to book better rooms next time as fantastic,? £113 a room plus £13 breakfast, do us a favour & give us top, or better rooms next time, so I wouldn't leave such a negative review, will stay In van next time,,, Rob.
