The Hadley Hotel

We had a very pleasant lunch today for 7 and staff were attentive, knowledgeable and most accomodating. Dylan was our main man and it's impressive how he can remember every order in detail. He guided us through the menu choices and everything was perfect from time waiting for starters, mains, deserts, drinks, clearing up. I cannot fault this place. I did checkout the reviews on Google because it was a special occasion and as with most people sometimes food or service is a let down for them. I'm relieved that our experience was absolutely wonderful. I note that many made mention of high prices but surely if you're aware of the prices why go there and then make mention it's pricey? Just go elsewhere. I'll post photos soon.

Cara, the receptionist was lovely. She deserves 5 stars for her efforts. Unfortunately she was not supported by the rest of the staff. The air conditioning in our room was not working properly (no fan and 21°C the lowest temperature achievable). Cara came up immediately to try to rectify the problem, but to no avail. She called us to let us know that she had referred the issue to the bar manager, who would come up to our room shortly to assess the issue. 30 minutes passed and he had not come up to assess the situation. I called reception and was told that the bar manager had said that that was "how it was". However, by swapping with the batteries from the tv remote, I was able to get the aircon to work perfectly. The bar manager had just been too lazy to be bothered. His lack of interest and dismissiveness were appalling, to the point of being insulting. Cara promptly supplied us with replacement batteries.
The room was badly appointed and scruffy. There were numerous scuff marks on the walls, the toilet roll holder was broken and had been left inside the vanity unit.
I would NOT recommend the Hadley Hotel, nor would I stay there again.

The service and overall spirit of the hotel was perfect. The food was really good specially the gravy in the pie and mach. I really liked the feeling of fitting in as it was a small hotell. The room was a bit drafty and and i personally don't like the full carpet. Steap stears.

Very very friendly staff, rooms and Hotel are extremely clean - I saw them eaning all the timing. Breakfast is perfect - super recomanded.
The location was good for me, but I was with a rented car, so free parking is available was important for me.

Friendly staff rooms very spacious, some beds better than others, breakfast hit better as the week progressed

Stayed here for just 1 night. Everything about this hotel is lovely. Rooms are well designed and have some amazing features such as the electric blinds and a brilliant shower room
bar and restaurant is good value. Staff are friendly and helpful..the breakfast was excellent really good quality ingredients and cooked perfectly.
Only point to be aware of is we booked for me and my wife and 11 year old. The room and the hotel don't provide a bed for children. It does say this is the case in the hotel description..so we made do. Just not ideal if you have a child staying with you and your expected to share the bed. A child is classed as 16 and under.
side from that this was a great find and I highly recommend it..

It is a very clean and beautiful hotel with modern rooms, a good Restaurant and very friendly staff. Unfortunatly a bit far from any POI, but a bus station is nearby. Hope to be back soon

I had a wonderful experience at the Hadley hotel. The rooms were sparkling clean and spacious and every staff member I encountered, from the manager the check- in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help! The highlight of our stay was the dining experience! Delicious seafood and steaks as well as an excellent selection of wines. The location is great just minutes away from the station. Thank you! Will recommend to my colleagues and friends!
