A good 3 star hotel that suited our needs and location perfectly as we were in town for a memorial service. Check in with the Manager was odd, being told we should not have got the room we have and that we were booked in a room that cannot have a child (whom we had along side us).
Other than the poor welcome and the fact the site was getting a new lick of paint, the stay was pleasant. The rooms are large, clean and the beds are very comfortable, although supplied with two fans which we were grateful for, the rooms are extremely hot (granted its summer and it was 23 deg c).

After reading some reviews I nearly changed our reservation but I needn't have worried. Booking in was simple, car park is easily accessible and the whole hotel seemed very good. Even the corridors leading to the rooms were pleasant enough, room was larger than most and apart from a couple of minor things (bath panel had seen better days) was comfortable and pleasant. We didn't have any evening meals so can't comment but we did have breakfast which was buffet style and very nice traditional British fare.

We were here for a school reunion. However I am still a local and this place is great. The bar is excellent too and great coffee and food. I give it full stars mainly due to service, location, cleanliness and value for money and amenities even for the large functions. I do feel that the place could one day - under the right ownership - be totally transformed inside but then of course, price goes up. So I say full stars for full all rounder for value

Room spacious clean nice modern decor. Bar staff friendly. Good breakfast except for Major let down - tea & coffee awful. The machine does not boil the water so can't make a good cup of tea ... & the coffee is worse than average... Surely it wouldn't be too much trouble to actually make a pot of tea & good coffee in the morning for your guests.

Sarah and the team went out if their way to make sure that our team of drivers were undisturbed after working nightshifts during our second weeks stay. The rooms were very comfortable and cleaned daily. Would highly recommend

Lovely room, breakfast was excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Special thank you to the barman who let us in on our last night and served us drinks, it meant I got to spend more time with my daughter and her boyfriend, MUCH appreciated.

Lovely hotel room, good size and well laid out. Bath with detachable shower head over. Comfy mattress and plump pillows. Large fan and iron in cupboard. Tea and coffee facilities in room. Great lighting, plenty of plugs for charging everything. Didn't use the facilities but the bar and restaurant looked nice, as did the courtyard. Free private parking.

Everything at this hotel was meh in general.

The beds were comfortable and the room amenities were adequate

The main problem which plagued my weekend visit was the incessant thumping of loud music from the party downstairs with heavy thumping bass that would keep anyone awake till midnight. It is preposterous that the hotel might think it acceptable to allow guests to have such an interrupted nights stay.
