I think this has to be the best looking Marriott I've been to. Basic Rooms are not huge but are clean with everything you'd need. We also saw the suites and these were essentially mini 1 bed apartments. A little mishap with the rooms where they gave us a room that hadn't been turned down but this was quickly corrected. There is parking under the building the cost of which can be added to your room.

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Dead easy car parking underneath the hotel. Lovely surroundings and brilliant location. The bed was so comfortable and the pillows were the floofiest I've ever seen; as a firm memory foam girl I did struggle with the pillows, but, I slept well and apparently didn't snore (how rude). Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent, stunning phenomenal hotel in a historic building, couldn’t be faulted. Excellent location near Harbourside and walking distance to Clifton village. The room was fantastic and huge, comfy bed sheets, premium facilities, lots of extra towels, good housekeeping, working aircon. The staff is very nice and there is no waiting time for check-in/check-out.

Have stayed here three times. Five years ago it was fantastic.
Six months ago a little disappointing.
Tonight not good at all. The reception at the front desk on check in was in the form of disinterest bordering on rude.
I had real difficulty hearing anything that was said and when I explained I have some hearing loss no attempt was made to talk a little louder. I received a look of mild annoyance instead.
The restaurant prices at the entrance were different to those inside. Price for sirloin steak had risen by £6. That’s quite a hike. I decided to leave and bumped into staff ripping out what must have been a very old menu. They though this was amusing instead of downright unprofessional.
Room is boiling hot and air con doesn’t work. i have noticed this in many hotels recently. the system looks like it’s working but the chiller is switched off.
Room is not as clean as any premier I have stayed at. not dirty but looks like it needs a deep clean.
Bed is horrible and sheets are incredibly itchy.
Water bottles are tiny.
Im not looking forward to breakfast
Altogether feels cheap and tacky now. Won’t stay again.
Sad as it’s a great location

Everything about our stay here was perfect. We were greeted by friendly and welcoming reception staff, our room was absolutely gorgeous, service was amazing. Central location with a really convenient car park reasonably priced. We will be back for sure 😊

I have regularly stayed at Bristol Marriott Hotel during my time in University. While my stay previously have all exceeded my expectations, this stay has been nothing but underwhelming and disappointing. I arrived at Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel on the 10th of November for my graduation at the University of Bristol. Whilst using the bathroom to have a quick shower, I quickly realised that the drain had been blocked and the entire bathroom became inundated with water within seconds. The drain was incredibly clogged and the water was seeping through from the bathroom to the carpets. I will be attaching images here tomorrow morning. This meant that I had to cease showering and my family members were unable to use the shower given that it was completely out of bounds. This is entirely unacceptable and shameful for the price we paid. I then called upon the reception and housekeeping team to rectify the issue - to which to their credit, they did genuinely try their best. The problem, though, lies with the management who has allowed this catastrophic error to occur in the first place. When we inquired about whether we could possible switch rooms, they blatantly refused to do so. Rather than vetting rooms to ensure that things are functioning in the very first place, Bristol Mariott Royal Hotel has done none of that.
I am genuinely appalled and confused by how everything has gone downhill at this hotel so quickly. It’s an utter shame given that I used to stay here regularly and received top-tier service each time.

I would not take the gamble and book your stay in this hotel, at all.

I wasn't staying here but attending a function. First thing I noticed on getting there was how many people were already drunk! But it was very well arranged, and our private room was lovely. Drinks are a tad, err, expensive, shall we say? £12 for a G&T seems pretty steep outside London... Anyway, it was a fantastic event, and other people seemed enthusiastic about the food as well!

We recently stayed at Marriott Royal Bristol and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. From the moment I walked in, the receptionist Sylvie made me feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable. The room was clean, spacious, and had all the amenities I needed. The location was perfect and within walking distance to many attractions and restaurants.

But what really stood out to me was the exceptional service provided by Sylvie. She were always available to answer any questions I had and provided excellent recommendations for things to do in the area. Their warm and friendly demeanor made me feel like I was staying at a friend's place, rather than a hotel.

I highly recommend Marriott and Sylvie to anyone looking for a great place to stay. Thank you for making my trip so memorable and enjoyable.
