I love this hotel very much. The staff are all so helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Karen gets all the praise (and she is fantastic) but the other staff are too. There was a man on reception on Saturday morning who I've seen a few times. He is always friendly and helpful and lent me some scissors so i could tape up my suitcase. Have to stay here for business and it's my favourite hotel to visit.

We had a really lovely stay here. The room was very clean and we were fortunate to have a room on an angle so it was much more spacious than average.

The staff were really welcoming and friendly.

The bathroom was clean but was overdue a bit of maintenance some damaged areas to skirting and unit. There was also clear black mould in the tile grout, although the grout was dark in colour it was less obvious.

The shower was really powerful which was great and there was shower gel available on the wall which was appreciated as I forgot to pack mine.

The Hypnos bed was so comfortable as usual.

The location is lovely right near the canal and popular marina pub/restaurant.

The room was spacious, clean and comfy. Thank you so much for the chocolates and balloons left for us as it was our wedding night. A lovely touch. Thank you. Breakfast was gorgeous as well

It’s a premier inn… clean room with good pillows!
My ground floor room was on the tired side but still perfectly ok.
Good idea having extra coffee/ tea on the reception in a box so your not hunting a staff member down as they try to check someone in.
Vending machine is as always massively overpriced

Definitely not a good night guaranteed if you are staying in room 101 or room 102 next to the stair well. You can hear every step on the stairs and the fire door shutting every time. I wanted to complain about this as i left but no one was in sight so just ended up posting the keycard. The meal deal with the pub and location are decent but please ask not to be in any of those 2 rooms

nice place with plenty of room as we asked for disabled room. Only drawback is the smell in the room, paint we think and no windows you can open for fresh air as it was quite stuffy with the heating set on lowest 17c.

We use this hotel quiet regular. The service is always very good but one lady in particular has been very good with us. Her name is Joanne she is always very happy, and nothing is too much trouble for her. A lovely lady to have meet us. Thank you my lovely x

We stayed for one night on a ground floor room number 42 and was told this was in thr new part of the building.
Windows are sealed shut and fan / heater was not on air con mode which we didn't find out till 12:40am.
Complained about the window and heat of the room and was told we could change rooms in the early hours of the morning which was ridiculous as we had already unpacked and had Xmas presents in the room.
Man on reception managed to change the heater setting to air con setting on a control panel behind reception.
Room over a course of a couple of hours did cooled down but by the time it did, we hadn't slept very well and my wife couldn't sleep worrying if there had been a fire we would have been trapped or someone could have suffered a panic attack.
Handed the key in the following morning and it wasn't until we mentioned the fiasco in the night that the gentleman on reception did say it had been noted on the system.
Only said I apologise and when we questioned would he like to sleep in a room with a sealed window he replied it wouldn't bother me to be honest.
Lack of concern and interest came to our minds. Apparently he told us that all Premier inn hotels in the future will have sealed windows !!!. What can I say but its an accident waiting to happen and never again will we ever use this chain of hotels.
We stayed the previous night at a Travelodge by the train station in Rugby and at first having never stayed in one i thought it wouldn't live up to a better standard compared to the Premier chain.
Well how wrong were we, the hotel was spotless and comfortable and the rooms had OPENING WINDOWS as well as the choice of a working heater or air conditioning.
Such a shame we had to find out how bad the Premier inn was and just hope they never have a potential emergency.
