I can’t comment on the rooms in the main hotel, but the rooms in the Annex are truly awful. No ventilation unless you want to open the French doors into the car park. Walls were dripping within a few minutes of having a shower. Service in the main hotel was good which is why I have given them three stars.

I last came here about 32 years ago when this building was a proper old school dole office (before such things became welcoming job centres and still had wire cages to keep Thatcher's army of the unemployed caged in). Basically they added a few bits to the building but it is still easily identified as an old government building. Our room was clean and comfortable with a balcony with goalpost netting to stop you jumping or throwing anyone else over the edge. The Oliver Cromwell is well located in the town and has a large car park. If March is what you are visiting then this hotel is probably the one to choose and if you are just visiting the area then this would still make a good centre to see the rest of the Fens.

Not so good place is looking tired we had a large crack in the bath didn't notice till i was in it just hoped that it didnt leak Hand basin had a air lock in the cold tap so when you turned it on it made a terrible amount of banging noise. We had a twin room this time and the mattresses were terrible one had a huge crater in the middle. We were booked in for two nights we did report the problems after the first night of not much sleep and the reception said it would be addressed but sadly they didn't do anything. The balcony was very dirty too with massive cobwebs and the sofa near the lift had thick dust on it too. Breakfast was rubber eggs, bland tastless mushrooms and over cooked hash browns or they needed to change the oil in the fryer Wouldn't recommend to anyone sadly won't be going back

Very reasonable price for a suite. Not a 5 star but, Clean, fresh and comfortable. Bathrooms and lounge area clean. Nice cold air con. Walking distance to local amenities. Loved the buffet breakfast. Again, fresh and hot.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
I was checking out early the next day to go skydiving close by (ideal location for this), as I wouldn't have breakfast they provided us with a lovely packed lunch instead, consisting of a drink, fruit, chocolate bar, sandwich, and a packet of crisps. I was well impressed.
Fish and chips at the restaurant the night before was lovely.
Hotel and restaurant was very clean....but SERIOUSLY dated.
Free Parking right outside.
No mirror in room made straightening hair a little tricky.
The reason for the 2 stars was due to the hotel badly needing an upgrade and the fact that I barely slept due to the creaking bed. (You couldn't cough without getting the feeling the entire bed was going to collapse!)

My third and won't be my last visit great hotel great staff clean rooms bit outdated in some of them but still very nice breakfast has been great last 2 time but this visit very disappointed with it dry hash browns one of the issues must be new chef.

Staff was absolutely brilliant couldn't do enough for you got in late and the night porter was really helpful and polite was really impressed and I want to thank him personally on this review definitely will stay again

Room was clean and tidy beds were comfortable... Air conditioning thing was either hot or cold set temp to 20 and woke up middle of the night sweltering hot and temp said it was 26 🥵🥵... Shower was either luke warm or stone cold so had to have a bath and hate having baths. Breakfast was OK was a only warm not very hot and that was at 7:15am.... Staff were friendly and nice. But if I had a choice I would stay else where..
