Nice big car park. Tesla supercharger on site (register vehicle on arrival at reception). Reception was brilliant. Best customer service I’ve received at a budget hotel ever. Friendly reception girls. Car registration was simple. Room perfect. Nice bathroom
With a bath. Room a little too hot and air con noisy but not a problem.
I really had a memorable stay and I will be back next time I travel to see family as this hotel is half way through my journey. Supercharger a massive bonus!

Don't bother. Take your money when they know there is a fault with the room and have no alternative to offer you. Then when you query the issue they claim they will fix it and then tell you they can't. When you query their customer service they threaten to call the police. There are many hotels in Northampton, I for one will be using any other in the future.

Northampton campanile: check in 16th September and check out 18th. To sum up, I paid £179 inclusive of breakfast for two nights. Hotel reception looked nice. Staff were okay although I wouldn’t say they were professional. Waited to check in at 2pm. Got into the room and it looked quite basic. Sofa is big enough to fit a toddler. Bathroom is basic and didn’t look like they fully dusted the surfaces. Shower is flat - no rubber mat so trust that water will spill everywhere. Apparently if you wanted a mat, you’d have to request for it. How odd is that?
Carpet is dusty, walls need rejuvenating and windows need cleaning.
Bed was laid out nicely though. No iron or ironing board and called reception using the outdated telephones but they couldn’t hear me well. Eventually when they could, they told me to come down and grab the items (they basically didn’t offer to bring them up). I don’t know whether that was normal practise or…… I’ll wait to hear from others on this. Iron was a bit rusty but that’s all they had to offer so had no choice but to take it.
Anyways, the next day being Saturday, put a sign up saying ‘make my room’ however when I came back, the room wasn’t made. Called reception and I was told that I had to request this at reception which surprised me as I wasn’t told this upon arrival. Anyways they said I had to bring my own bin and towels down. What a surprise! 2 minutes later I get a knock on the door and someone delivers towels but I still had to take my own bins down (left the used towels in the room). Got my partner to do that as I wasn’t happy with the service.

Breakfast: standard cereal, toast, sausage, eggs etc but nothing compare to their competitors.

I asked for a well done egg with salt and pepper and the cook told me there was salt on the table lol. Talk about service.

Extremely disappointed that I paid almost £200 for this. No room service. Wasn’t worth the money and I really want it back but trust that the hotel will respond with the standard cliche answer

We enjoyed our stay, the staff were very helpful and the breakfast was delicious.

The heating in our room wouldn't work, but this was resolved quickly when we reported it.

The room smelt. No shower mat Mirror broken. TV did not work. Mould on walls. Damaged bathroom door. No bathroom mugs. No hair dryer. Have stayed at many Campanile hotels. This room was abysmal. May never use again

You get what you pay for with this being a 3 star hotel. Right next to the M1 if you need to get somewhere quickly. Nice little bar 🍸 👌

£60 charge for using the Tesla Supercharger! Lots of reviews complaining about this. I've no way to know if there are obvious signs or not now, but clearly arriving bleary eyed at 06:54 I missed the signs and have now got a £60 fine for the privelege of charging my car and paying for coffee and breakfast. Surely it's easy to see that anyone using the Tesla charger isn't just after free parking - this is blindingly obivous that this is just a vindictive money making exercise.
