Today's wedding of a popular niece of our's excelled in every way it could. The venue was very nice in a beautiful Peak District landscape. The staff were fantastic, the food of very good quality and the service exceptional. 👌

We had the soup of the day (pumpkin) and a lamb burger, came to just shy of £25, yeah perhaps a little more than I was expecting it to be but after eating I would definitely say just the soup alone was worth it 😆

A fabulous hotel...we came a few years ago and have returned for an overnight stay courtesy of our daughter for a birthday treat...and what a treat... location great... hotel and staff 5*...food a little expensive but the breakfast is lovely...if you are thinking of a wedding venue then this must be up there to be considered because the setting is beautiful .

Restaurant and lounges amazing,so warm, welcoming and comfortable. Food was delicious, excellent wine choice. Staff are lovely, nice welcome, perfect service. Great views.

Received vouchers as a leaving gift to spend here as we had stayed before, we were not disappointed. The room was comfy with lovely views. We went down to the restaurant where we had scallops and Thai fishcakes for starter, they were delicious, then we had the beef for the main meal, it was the best meal we have ever had, the beef was out of this world, so tasty. We had breakfast the following morning, we had the full breakfast and again this didn't disappoint. The staff from the front desk to the restaurant and bar were polite and attentive. Overall it was an amazing stay overnight which we will do again in the not too distant future.

Sunday lunch with special family visitors, the place looked amazing.However , we went for 12.30, excellent service, but the food on the plate was nearly cold. The dishes of veg were fine but the gravy was luke warm. Really disappointed, never expected this from such a prestigious place. Shouldn't be like this.

Definitely improved vastly from our previous stay in 2021 which was not good at all but luckily we had been brought gift vouchers again so stayed this new year eve which was a bit disappointing as it was a very expensive meal and we were in bed at 11pm …. It was a lot better though however I do have to say the hotel was at its very best 4 years ago as It was amazing we stayed for Xmas 2 rooms and had the best time it was absolutely fabulous unfortunately its now a Wedding venue.
