Travelodge Blyth A1(M)

Stayed here 3 weeks ago.
Such a good nights sleep.
The room was sooo quiet.
Hotel receptionist was lovely, said there was a wedding going on so he put us in a room not near them.
I accidentally left my necklace there and the cleaners found it for me.
We now have a hotel to stay in when we are here.

Nice staff and comfy room but the biggest problem is the noise from the A1. Hotel is really convenient for position and plenty of places nearby to try for dinner etc. I did have to get some earplugs during the night as the noise was too much so one thing to bear in mind when booking the hotel. That being said just a handy spot for a single night if travelling or needing to be in the area.

Room is very dark. Take your own desk lamp if you want to read anywhere other than the bathroom. Dave at Reception has good recommendations for food and nearest shops. Ship Inn at Bawtry for lunch or dinner. To get quietest sleep request a room on car park side, away from A1.

Expected a budget room, and that's what we got. Funnily enough, it was the same room we got allocated back in 2019. It was a step back in time, where nothing has changed. The complex needs refurbishment sooner rather than later. However, on a plus side, the guy at reception was 1st class.

Comfortable, great value and ideal for a place to stay if you have a pet travelling with you. Friendly and helpful staff.

Customer service was excellent. Rooms were the usual you would expect from a travelodge. A little aged in places but overall clean and we were incredibly grateful for availability with no pre-booking.
