Overall, the room was great and very clean and tidy.

I'm American so I'm not sure if this is normal for UK hotels, but there was no top bed sheet - just a comforter/bed spread and a sheet covering the mattress.

The room thermometer was set to its maximum temperature of 24 degrees Celsius, but it did not feel like 75 degrees Fahrenheit at all.

I asked the front desk to look into it and it appeared someone stopped by as there was a keycard left in the lightswitch box.

But after a few more nights, it was clear the heat was still not working properly and I felt the heat blowing perhaps once or twice my entire 6-night stay.

Occasionally, I would also find the thermostat had turned itself off in the morning too.

Good value hotel. We stayed here during a recent trip to Brighton for the football, so a convenient 10-15 minute walk to Three Bridges Station. Breakfast was included and there was plenty of choice, with takeaway options available too. Only downside I’d say is that £9 per night to park is a bit steep, especially as we needed around 25 hours so would’ve been charged £18. I used someone’s driveway barely 2 minutes around the corner through YourParkingSpace for a fiver. Otherwise - nice hotel 👍🏻

I am a Gold member and love staying at Holiday Inn Expresses all over the world. They are almost always my first choice. Sadly, this one has some issues. The staff was wonderful. The breakfast was well prepared as well. My issue is with the room. The entire second half of the first floor has experienced some sort of water event. I spoke with the staff and they acted stunned. There is no way they could not smell the water damage. Room 133, where we stayed, smelled awful. We did not move to another room as the entire section of the hotel had the smell. Sadly, this was combined with an air unit that was inoperable, and a fire alarm that went off at 6:30AM. The staff can’t be blamed for the fire alarm, but no one should be staying in the rooms on floor one that clearly have some issue involving water. The musty smell was really bad. I hope they get this problem corrected. I’m still disappointed that staff acted as they had no idea.

A good experience at the hotel after a minor blip with the parking arrangements. Overall staff are friendly, helpful and positive. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I had been worried that the room might be noisy being next to a door in the corridor but this wasn't the case at all. There is enough space to hang a few clothes, there are facilities to make a drink and useful plug and usb sockets available.

The shower was powerful and temperature was adjustable for a good, hot shower!

Breakfast options are fine, although you need to specifically request quorn sausages if you want a veggie option. Plenty of choice on hot drinks, some fruit available, as well as toast, cereal and pastries if you prefer.

A good place to stay and you have the option of the Harvester next door for easy, convenient dinner if needed.

For this style of budget hotel we had a great stay. Wonderfully friendly staff, lovely comfortable bed, room was clean and recently decorated. Breakfast was good, although sausages were obviously budget.

A very warm and efficient welcome by the Manager set the tone for our first time stay of one night.

The room was spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable and quiet. The bed provided a firm goodnights rest and the large shower a touch of luxury.

We couldn’t believe how reasonable the cost of such a good package especially as breakfast was included.

We would certainly book again with Holiday Inn express.

The Holiday Inn Express was everything I needed for a short stay. The room was spotlessly clean! I enjoyed the breakfast, it had a good selection with plenty of everything. The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and inviting. I have no complaints about the hotel! The only reason I wouldn’t recommend for a long stay is due to its basic features, but it isn’t designed for a long stay anyway! I very much enjoyed my stay.

I have stayed at this hotel several times over the past five years, and it never disappoints. This is a superbly managed hotel (and I'm a tough customer as used to work as a concierge in 5* hotels).

Nothing is too much for the absolutely wonderful staff. They go above and beyond. We stayed on an extremely busy bank holiday weekend, whereby the hotel was fully booked. The restaurant was struggling with capacity - but the staff handled it fantastically. There was ample staff, who were extremely calm, polite and helpful. What could have easily been stressful chaos, remained an easy and nice experience.

We stayed for four nights and this was our only holiday this year. With covid and setting up a business it's been tricky to have quality time.

Thank you so much to all the staff at Holiday Inn Crawley for making this time so restful and enjoyable. We will be back again. Keep doing what you are doing 😊
