The Hilton Garden Inn is a nice low budget 4 star hotel near London Heathrow airport. I made a reservation for this location when I found that my flight was delayed by 14 hours and since I’m a member of Hilton Honors, I figured this location would be a safe bet. The customer service is very courteous, professional and helpful.

The hotel itself is very modern, updated with a restaurant and bar downstairs. The business center is literally 2 computers on a desk near the lobby with no privacy. The lobby can be crowded very quickly depending on the time and day. They also have a small convenience store but it is extremely expensive for no reason.

The room I booked had a queen size bed and sofa bed yet the room is very small. The bathroom is a decent size but I don’t like the glass shower door on the bathtub/shower combo. It’s doesn’t fully cover the entire length of the bathtub which allows water to fall on the fall and it can become dangerous.

One highlight I’d like to point out is the rooms are very quiet and the hotel is soundproofed very well. It’s so quiet that you wouldn’t know that you’re a less than 2 miles from the airport. Finally, this hotel is a part of the Hotel Hoppa transit system which has a bus pick you up and drop you off at your hotel or back to the terminal.

[July 2022] Hard to see how this is a 4* hotel. The rooms are dated and very 'grubby'. The carpets are particularly dirty (see photos). Decent shower, and good noise isolation from Heathrow. It's very much a flight stopover type of hotel, as there are few other reasons to stay here. I saw huge rats running from the bins outside the kitchen, and for 2 days those doors have been propped open, so it's reasonable to expect that the rats are inside the ground floor area. When returning on my second day, the room was not made up, and upon asking why, it's apparently now (since 'covid') policy not to clean your room unless you ask for it (and this is not communicated to you on arrival). Breakfast selection is standard buffet affair, and parking is around £15 a night (it's usual to charge for parking at airport hotels).

Surprisingly good to be fair. Parking no problem, even though arrived relatively late. Room access done via App, great. Room without issue, breakfast good too. Only lose a star as reception staff not great, stood there waiting to be served whilst being ignored and then when they did look up served another two people before me, who’d got there after me! This happened on both times I needed to deal with reception, needs addressing. Pleased overall though!

This hotel was huge and packed during our stay but that didn’t compromise the service. They don’t do daily cleaning but on request which was the only set back. I think the rooms needed a good deep clean. The breakfast buffet was huge and we really enjoyed it. The fresh made to order omelettes were my favorite.

Nice hotel. Was great location for us to go to Heathrow. We arrived quite late, and was planning to order room service, however they don't do it anymore.
Also bathroom was OK but shower head was full of limescale and tiles had a bit of black mould. Seems like when you travel with a child, hotels put you in the crappiest rooms. It was OK for what it was tho

Most horrible hotel!! Please don’t go over the reviews people have written! They are not true reviews. First of all the location is anything but convenient. After taking the Piccadilly line from airport 2 stops you have to walk over the bridge using the stairs!! Imagine doing that with 2 kids and 4 suitcases!! Then when we arrived we were given the room that was anything but clean ! Muggy and I started to feel itchy in my throat. I complained to the front desk and they offered another room just like that dirty and muggy! If I was in US they would have been more customer focused. Mind you I paid over $200 for this piece of junk hotel. Please do yourself a favor and don’t book this hotel. I had no choice after the fact but I want to save other families from making the same mistake I made !!
Thank you.

Hotel is decent enough, it’s far away from T5 and no shuttle service available- the hotel hoppa bus is £6. The food is average but what you would expect for an airport hotel. It’s fine for one night between flights but wouldn’t stay here for any longer.

Comfortable, quiet room well insolated from airport noise. Thin walls, connecting doors make for noise within rooms. Room temperature controls were good. Shower glass door is curious.

Kudos eliminating small bottles, but placement of dispensers in the shower (at elbow height) is poor.

Food, especially breakfast, is above standard. Omelet chefs are the best. Few alternate dining options nearby.

Location is good, but make no mistake it still takes time to to get back into airport. It also takes a good hour to get into central London. Avoid the Piccadilly line from this location! Horribly crowded and filthy at all times if day. Buses and trains are far better, but not any faster.
