Travelodge Hatfield Central

Good value for money, clean apart from the nail clippings from previous guest ( i complained for 3 days in a row to have the room vacuumed and still waiting ) Bed was comfy and clean with a good bath/shower. Breakfast is decent except for the rubbery vegetarian sausage which was a struggle to cut with a metal knife. Staff were friendly and polite.

We booked a 2 night stay and with 2 rooms, one was accessible, due to
our son being in a wheelchair and needing the wet room. Arrived Friday evening, after travelling for 12 hours, only to find out that they had no information of the booking that said we booked an accessible room. My husband had the email, and I had the call log from when I called them after we booked online, to make sure that we would be getting an accessible room. And as close to our other room as possible. I was told it would be a few doors away, which was ok with me.
Well, they only gave our accessible room away to someone who had checked in 10 minutes before us. Luckily that person was happy to move, as they didn't require an accessible room, as we were asked if we really needed it. Erm, yes...
So we had to wait while our accessible room was ready, luckily we got the key to our other room to get our other child settled.
However, our rooms were not close together, almost to the other end of the long hallway.
We managed though.
The staff were lovely and friendly though.
The rooms were very warm, the joys of being in a heatwave, we did have fans though, so helped a little.
Didn't have any food so can't comment.

Could do a lot better with some small tweaks. Room & w.c area were a good size. Parking was convenient.
Good to have Aldi & Galleria in a stones throw distance. But room was noisy with a load party bar under our window, plus we could here upstairs guests whenever they moved around. Room smelt quite a bit. Water and shower room needed some fixing. Room numbers could be numbered more visibly along hallways.

We could really have done with a good night's sleep before travel, but hardly slept at all at this hotel.

Room was fine but mattress was quite hard. Restaurant is a small room by reception with bar service but breakfast was good. Good location, close to bus links.

Great location with free car parking.
Plenty of shops and places to eat in the same complex as the Travelodge.
The Galleria shopping centre is just a 5 min walk away.
Room was very comfy and they also have a restaurant area next to reception.

The room was warm and clean, however, it was very noisy. The walls are paper thin and the window is not sound proofed. The bed was also too firm for me. The breakfast was ok but not great. The staff were all friendly and pleasant. Would I stay here again? No.

Perfect central location. Everything on doorstep. Had an issue with getting a twin room. Which after a battle was resolved. Probably the worst travelodge I've stayed in though. Ex convicts roaming the halls housed with breakfast and spending money by the council. Chicken bones under the bed. View from window was funny (just look down if you have the view of the extension). No housekeeping even after 4 days. Other guests getting hauled out in middle of night due to smoking and noise. A bit of a pong throughout our floor and room. You get what you pay for tho I guess.

Arrived 8pm on New Year's Eve. Very grumpy receptionist who did not speak clearly and we had to request that he repeat some of the instructions. Some staff training is needed.(BTW we are not hard of hearing) Checked out the following morning...absolutely delightful and pleasant girl on reception. What extremes!
Clean room and en-suite. Comfy bed.
