I took my partner here for 2 nights to celebrate her birthday (she’s a huge fan of spa breaks!). Before making the booking I called to see if they could dress the room up with balloons / rose petals / champagne etc, which for an added cost the could provide. We had the badger suite which was exceptional, very clean and the bed was also very comfy! The grounds were maintained to a high standard and the house itself is beautiful both inside and out.

We had full use of the spa / pool which was the highlight of this stay. I’ve never been to a spa with such exquisite botanical decor. I also paid for a full body massage for us both in their couples room which was very relaxing and just what we both needed! We also used the gym before breakfast both mornings which again had all the equipment we needed.

The food was also exceptional. We had the choice from the menu one night and the 5 course taster meal with wine on the other. We also had lunch during the day - all of the food and wine was 10/10.

The price may look a tad steep in comparison to other spa’s you may have visited in the past, but I guarantee this will leave a lasting memory as this is one of the best spa hotel’s I have visited.

Lastly the level of service was exceptional - A special thank you to Jessica who helped me with the booking / room decor requests. The staff here are very friendly and we’re very helpful.

Highly recommend this place!

Beautiful setting, but room should not be booked out in hot temperatures, the windows had all been left closed on our arrival, on one of the hottest days of the year and there was no a/c. It was unbearable and I found myself wondering why on earth I had paid to inflict this misery on myself. The receptionist was just not friendly or particularly helpful and required prompting from me to do anything useful, was not up to scratch particularly for prices charged. Only reason why I gave 3 stars and not 2 stars, was because food was tasty, in spite of very slow service where again we expected better for high prices and view from room was beautiful. I would only recommend this hotel in cool temperatures, off season when fewer guests. The chef is keeping this place going, I would re-train everyone else!

The staff were really lovely at our half-day spa experience. It was really relaxing and lovely decor. I have to point out one member of staff in particular ‘Andy’ who went out of his way to welcome us with his friendly vibe when serving us our afternoon tea. Nothing was too much for him! He is a credit to have work there. Many thanks to the rest of the staff who made the day lovely. Recommend the back massage!

Booked this spa hotel to celebrate our engagement, and the staff couldn't have been friendlier or more welcoming they really helped make our experience special, even preparing a lovely desert platter for our room. The room itself was stunning, with a roll top bath and views over the garden. The evening meal was really tasty. The breakfast unfortunately was somewhat disappointing compared to the high standard set through the rest of the stay, but this didn't effect our overall experience, and we would definitely reccomend this hotel to couples looking for a relaxing getaway.

Everything was perfect; a friend and I came for celebrating her engagement. The spa was lovely, food was nice and everyone was really friendly. Only thing I would note, As it is a dog friendly hotel, some rooms have had dogs in. The original room we were allocated was very clean but had a slight smell of dog. We asked reception if we could be moved and they helped us straight away... and no problems at all! So when booking the hotel ask for a room that isn’t dog friendly!

Treated my Mum to afternoon tea, and I must say it was absolutely exquisite. Not only was the food, sandwiches and desert amazing but the service was something else. We were seated and served by a man called Andy, who was so welcoming and chatty. After telling him it was my Mum's 60th birthday, he bought out a surprise plate with chocolates and a special message for her! We enjoyed every second, the young lady behind the bar was also so lovely. Will definitely be back again and couldn't recommend it enough, the building and decor was also beautiful. Amazing afternoon!

Just returned from a short Christmas spa break. The hotel is absolutely stunning, the Spa experience amazing. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. Would recommend it to anybody wanting a fabulous break or just to indulge themselves. We’ve already booked for early 2023.
