Ikc Wheatsheaf Hotel Horsell

Pretty standard rooms, bed clean. Could do with a bit of a repaint. Clean and tidy - housekeeping extremely helpful. Breakfast buffet needs a bit of practice but ordering from menu was efficient.

Great location for the town, opposite a nice park. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking is a bit of a faff, 2 small and not great matked or designed car parks but there's not much they can do about that. The rooms are very dated and in need of a refurb but in fairness, there were no major concerns given the price.

Probably the best value breakfast I have had for a long time, limited choice and value for money is excellent. The pub is very pleasant and an evening meal was good.
The bedroom is functional but could easily be improved at relatively small expense and trouble. For example, a redundant cheap plastic towel/toiletries dispenser (clearly not used) is still attached to the wall in the bathroom - take it off and redecorate where it was (or cover it with something else). A loose tile behind the toilet needs fixing. Getting upstairs with luggage through two/three? security doors was a bit of a struggle (no lift).
The car parking space would be adequate if only it wasn't occupied by three Betfred vans and another van from some other sports company. I don't know if this is a regular occurrence, if not, fine. But if so maybe some consideration could/should be given to your other guests.

Staff friendly, breakfast very good value, evening meal good, bar very comfortable. Room functional, shower good.

Staff were welcoming and courteous.
Bedroom was tired, scruffy decor. Toilet seat was loose. Wash basin did not drain. Tissue dispenser hanging off wall.
We have stayed at this accommodation for a number of years and the condition has declined dramatically.
Staff were advised about the toilet seat and they offered to try to find us an alternative room as a maintenance attendance could take over a week. TO TIGHTEN 2 X SCREWS!!

Becky, Josef and the rest of the team were brilliant. Always ready to help with a charming and bright attitude. The meals were also fantastic. No complaints at all

Breakfast was slow, we left at 07:30 but were not able to complete a breakfast in time for our departure. I was told that I could park in the hotel carpark but this was rescinded later. Note that I paid for the rooms but did not stay. The bedrooms were not airconditioned and during the unusually hot spell nothing was done to help guests

The staff are brilliant, really welcoming and the room was large/clean. Beds very comfy, our stay was exacly what we needed.
