Really comfy bed. Everything was clean, loved that the curtains blocked out all light, even in the mornings when I wanted to sleep late. Loved the fact that I could have a proper bath! The bath was spick and span too, unlike other accommodations I've stayed in where the bath is a little rusty or stained after years of use. Was very happy with my stay! Only downside to it was the location, as getting there is a bit of a problem due to the fact I don't have a car, and don't feel comfortable walking over dual carriageways, so had to pay out for taxis, but hey that's my own fault I suppose.

I've always used Travelodge and Premier Inn but thought I'd try somewhere else. The customer service was excellent, the rooms were nice and clean, the price very competitive and you never had to ask twice for anything. Also there is ample parking which I didn't have to pay for. Worth a try if you want affordable, clean rooms, with great customer service and parking. It's a shame that they are only in Preston!

I have stayed here 3 times but sure I will stay here as many time as i go back to Leyland. Very friendly staff and clean rooms. The pub next to it is great!!

I really like this hotel to stay. Good for single and couple guests. Rooms are clean,staff are so friendly. The pub at next door is brilliant. Great food, great bar.

Great cheap place if you're happy with that sort of thing. A little hard to find (through another car park!). Larger than expected rooms and clean.

UPDATE: the hotel has since offered me a refund for our stay. Their customer service is great even if the hotel wasn’t for our stay. Upgraded my rating.
This is the email I sent to purple roomz. I waited a week with no reply before posting the email I sent as the below review.
We stayed in the Preston south hotel last night (14th august) and have some feedback and some concerns to contact you about.
First of all we’d like to thank the night porter and manager for going the extra mile to help us with the problems we experienced. Their help was appreciated and they did all they could.
When we arrived at the hotel and entered room 19 at about 7:30pm it felt like an oven. We have 2 small children and carry a room thermometer with us so we can dress them appropriately for bed; knowing that sleeping in a hot environment can be dangerous for little ones.
The thermometer read 30 degrees. With the window open and the basic fan the porter provided we hoped the room would cool but it did not go beneath 29.
The porter kindly agreed to move us to the room next door which we tried but it wasn’t much cooler. He then contacted the manager who was able to source some larger fans for us. This is the help we appreciated most. The room remained as hot through most of the night between 27 and 29 degrees.
The children and my husband and I struggled to sleep all night and considered leaving the hotel mid-way through the night and driving the final 4 hours to our holiday in Scotland, just so the children would be able to sleep.
The hotel rooms are clearly not well equipped for hot weather; for example The windows barely open to allow a breeze and there are no sockets near the windows to allow a fan to provide a cross breeze.
In the morning my toddler found a clump of hair in the bedding we can been sleeping in; this was the final straw in my decision to write this email of complaint.
I honestly expected the hotel to be basic in the same way way as a travel lodge or premier inn but I was very disappointed.
Once again, the staff did all they could while we were there but the room itself wasn’t fit for purpose. Based on our experience I would not stay in a purple roomz hotel again nor recommend it to others.

Rooms are lovely and clean, beds are so comfy which is always a Bruce bonus. Been staying here a while now and staff are great, nothing ever any trouble. Showers work and are pleasantly decent. Great room to stay in, I'd come back here again. Helps there's a pub with great food drink and atmosphere right on the door step too.

We stayed here for a night and the staff are amazing. I called beforehand to ask if they could decorate our room with birthday decorations for my husband and they were so kind enough to arrange that for me straight away. Room was perfect. Thank you purple roomz. We'll be staying again:)
