I had the good fortune of being allotted a room with the view over the lock when I stayed here during a workshop.

The conference area of the hotel was functional and well-served. The room was clean, and the bed comfortable. I have no complaints. Everything was as it should be.

Also, the location of this hotel is perfect for exploring the neighbouring Camden area and there's a tube stop nearby too.

The hotel is in an excellent location close to Camden Market and a short walk (minutes) from the Camden Town tube stop. Since we were arriving from an overnight flight I sent a message to the hotel requesting an early check in. I never got a response back, which was disappointing, but did get to check in a bit early which was nice. The room had this great window which could be opened up all the way to get a nice breeze. This was nice since the air conditioning really didn't do much of anything. It seems a bit typical of hotels in the UK when compared to the US. There was no refrigerator in the room, but there was an ice machine in the hall. An ice bucket would be a nice addition to the room. The room was clean and well appointed and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay, the staff was professional and I would recommend the hotel. The location is pretty great!!!

After we had to switch to this hotel spontaneously due to a bad experience with another hotel we were so glad we had found the Holiday Inn in Camden.

The staff at the reception was very nice and helpful and the room was good. Could need some refurbishment here and there but overall it was a nice place to stay.

It’s a very nice hotel!
It’s located very close to Camden Market. The staff is nice. Breakfast is really good and there’s is a wide variety of options.
The rooms are good but everything was a bit older and could use some refurbishment.

We arrived early but the room was cleaned and we could check in right away. That was great since we started our journey 4 am and needed a rest. Room was clean and beds were great. Appreciate the thea and coffee in the room. We were told standard english breakfast. It was all we needed before a long day sightseeing in London. My daughters loved it too. The staff was helpful if we had questions. The hotel is not newly renovated but still totally acceptable. All together satisfying stay.

Dismal experience with Holiday Inn London - Camden Lock : I booked in error for the wrong week and when I tried to shift it out for same days a week later, no one responded. After repeated emails and calls I eventually got hold of the Front Desk Manager who shared they could not accommodate me in any way and would be charging me 50% booking cancellation fee.

I think escalated to the General Manager who was equally as unaccommodating sharing that it was not possible to place me in any IHG hotel, insisting that the 50% cancellation fee was group policy and could not be waived.

If this is the attitude of IHG then they have no business being in the hospitality group. I will never again book at an IHG hotel and will ensure that my company never uses this hotel group.

As the CEO of a prominent Customer Experience company, this has to be the worst hospitality experience I have ever encountered, without even making it to the front door!

@Ruben, I've read your response - great management and leadership that really care about their customers are empowered to use discretion in applying their policies, not hide behind them. So, what you are really saying is that fleecing a customer who made a legitimate mistake makes more commercial sense than having that customer, their employees, their friends, and anyone who reads this review come back to your hotels.

I read many other 1/5 reviews of a similar nature. Your unempathetic enforcement of T&C's irrespective of the situation is clearly driving customers away and seriously damaging your brand. Maybe its time for the senior team to get together and have a rethink...

I very much enjoyed my stay at this location. Right in the heart of Camden, I was barely a 5 minute walk from the outdoor market, numerous restaurants and food stands, and the Camden Tube station.

The room was perfect for someone staying solo, and the view of the canal couldn't be beat!

Nice hotel stayed here a bunch of times, today was checked in by Bianca who was most friendly and professional, it’s the staff that keep you coming back and she did a great job of making us feel welcome.
Room is good, with a nice view and the bathroom stocked with those tiny bottles of shampoo that make me feel like a giant!
