As per usual the Craven Heifer was great. The staff were all very courteous and helpful, the food was excellent ( I would particularly recommend the steak and ale pie which is out of this world) and the breakfasts are very good. The rooms are also very good with everything supplied to make your stay enjoyable.

I have been staying at The Craven Heifer once or twice weekly on business for nearly a year now, I cannot fault the rooms, service staff or food. Clean very well appointed rooms and public areas, great polite and customer focussed staff and fantastic food and service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone for business or pleasure. The personal touches make you feel very welcome every time.

Visited for a meal and were very impressed by all aspects of the pub. The staff were friendly and efficient, the restaurant was buzzing and clearly a popular choice even on a Wednesday night, and the food was well cooked and delicious. We especially appreciated the option of a small pie as portions were large generally. Creme brulee and brownie both delicious.

Wonderful stay with our dog. Very dog friendly and such amazing staff and great atmosphere. The room wqs big and spacious with everything you need. Food was gorgeous and plenty to choose from the menu. Will definately returning soon.

Stopped by for a long weekend to visit the family with my partner. Not sure what I miss more, them or the Heffer! Service, food and room were undeniably fantastic. The heffer feels like a ‘home away from home’. We’ve only been gone 2 days and booked our next trip in December! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality! Can’t wait to be back :) PS- the poached eggs are incredible!

The Craven Heifer has to be one of the nicest places I have stayed in. The owner Peter has done a wonderful job in transforming this pub that I once knew. The staff are really nice, friendly and 100%, the place runs like clockwork. The room I stayed in for one night was superb. Great range of beer and lager and single malts. But the cherry on the top was THE BEST STEAK AND ALE PIE I HAVE EVER HAD. Thank you all at The Craven Heifer 👏

I booked rooms here while staying with colleagues for a work trip, and we couldn't have been happier. The staff are wonderfully helpful and friendly even when our plans changed several times, the food is outstanding and very reasonably priced, the rooms were warm and comfortable, and the parking was plentiful and free. I'd recommend staying here to anyone!
